There are many Notorious Marks for players to hunt down, including the Gorgimera in the Hunt Bill The Tricephalic Terror. Keep reading for where to find this chimerical monstrosity, how to beat it, and what it drops.

Updated by Abigail Angell on July 28, 2023: The Gorgimera remains one of the top priority hunts because it drops Orichalcum. To make finding this mark even easier, we've added a clip showing the journey from the nearest Waypoint to the Gorgimera's location.

Where To Find The Tricephalic Terror

Like Atlas, Breaker of Worlds, the Gorgimera is a level 45 S-level mark. This Hunt Bill becomes available once players hit the main story quest Across the Narrow, meaning Clive and your companions are also likely around this level.

To locate the Gorgimera, see the Hunt Bill description for clues. From it, you'll learn that the mark is in the Velkroy Desert and that it is a Chimera. If you're a bit more savvy, you might have also noticed that it is likely along a road (since a trade caravan reported it).

A caravan of traders traversing the Velkroy told me of a colossal beast they had encountered on their journey. To hear them tell it, it had the aspect of a dragon, a lion, and a scorpion all at once. I contested that it might be naught but a mirage - a phantasm brought about by the desert heat - but the sweat which rand down their foreheads was cold, and the fear in their eyes real.

The closest Obelisk to the mark is either the Velkroy Desert or the Dalimil Inn Obelisk. The mark spawns at the first sharp curve of the road between these two locations on the western side. This video may be able to give additional help to players unable to spot its location.

How To Beat The Tricephalic Terror

Once you've located the Gorgimera, you'll need to kill it to claim the bounty. If you feel the need for an extra edge, use consumables such as a Strength or Stoneskin Tonic. During the fight, this mark has three abilities to watch out for.

Ram's Voice

This is a large AoE attack centered around the creature. The Gorgimera will begin to use this attack early on in the fight. Move away as soon as you see the technique name pop up to avoid taking unnecessary damage.

Dragon's Voice

This attack calls lightning down from the sky, leaving a series of purple circles on the ground shortly before it deals the damage. The Gorgimera will begin using it at around half health. Carefully maneuver to a clear spot on the ground by running or using Shiva's Cold Snap to avoid this attack.

If you are far enough away from Gorgimera when the Dragon's Voice finishes, it will fly into the air and rush you. Sidestepping this will briefly stagger the creature, leaving an opening to deal damage.

Delta Force

This attack combines all three of the Gorgimera's damage types - fire, lightning, and ice - into one big cluster of pain. You'll start to see it once the best reaches a quarter of its total health. Move out of the circles on the ground before the rays touch to avoid being blown up by heavy damage.
