Hogwarts Legacy is making a big splash with fans of the franchise. The game manages to bring the wizarding world to life in a way that wasn’t possible previously. You get to create your own witch or wizard, customize them to your exact specifications, and see them come to life before your very eyes. You don’t have to know anything about Harry Potter to enjoy this title. Since it takes place in the 1800s, you’re free to explore and learn about the world at your leisure.
If you’re just getting started, you might notice that your wizard’s gear doesn’t always look its best when thrown together randomly. You want to have the best stats for your adventures, but you still want to look fresh. This is where we come in. If you’re looking to customize every inch of your wardrobe, you’ve come to the right place.
Hover Over The Gear You Wish To Change
Go ahead and navigate to your gear menu. From there, you’ll want to figure out which piece of gear you’re looking to hide or transmog. Once you’ve decided, you should hover over that piece with your cursor. A preview window should pop up and display an option to “customize appearance.” The button will be different depending on your platform, so be sure to follow the prompt.
Choose Which Cosmetic To Equip
Once you’ve selected the piece of gear you want to hide or transmog, you’ll be taken to a new page with your available options. If you’re looking to hide the piece of gear altogether, you’ll find that option in the top left corner of the items. If you’re looking to transmog, you’ll have two areas of items to choose from. The top section shows your collection list. These are cosmetics you’ve earned through challenges, quests, and so on. The bottom section includes items you have in your inventory. These could be items you’ve found or perhaps purchased in a shop. Either way, these are items with stats that you’re choosing to use for purely cosmetic purposes.
Earn More Cosmetics
There are lots of ways to earn new cosmetics for your witch or wizard. You can look into currently available Twitch Drops that will reward you with free items for watching Hogwarts Legacy streams. You can also look at the challenges section of your field guide. Things like defeating certain amounts of enemies will reward you with fresh new cosmetics to equip. With the ability to hide and transmog gear, your witch of wizard should always be looking their best while you adventure in the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy.
