How To Defeat Atlas, Breaker Of WorldsAtlas, Breaker of Worlds Hunt mark from Final Fantasy 16

Notorious marks are by far the toughest enemies you'll see in the wild, even more so than Elite enemies. Additionally, Atlas will be the toughest mark you'll have seen thus far — leagues ahead of the Ahriman.

To take this monster out, you'll need to come prepared with both items and knowledge to counter Atlas' several devastating attacks.

Helpful Items

Like with most big fights, you'll want to begin the Atlas fight with a full stockpile of potions. However, you can also make use of other consumable items for an edge. Lionheart and Stoneskin Tonics are both excellent choices for this fight.

Atlas' Most Dangerous Attacks

Atlas has three special attacks that players need to be aware of. Here is a table with each one, what it does, and how to counter it.

Attack

Attack Description

Strategy & Counter

Saber Dance

Atlas swings his energy sword in an arc around him.

While you can be far enough away from this attack to avoid it, Atlas moves very quickly. Instead, plan to dodge just before it connects or use Titanic Block.

Golden Section

Atlas surges forward, swinging his energy sword at an increased size.

This cannot be Titanic Blocked and moves too fast to run from. If possible, save your dodge for this attack.

Celestial Sphere

Atlas creates a circle of light on the ground, where rays will fall after a short delay.

You can easily walk into the middle of the circle or outside of it to dodge this attack but be wary. Atlas will continue his other attacks even during Celestial Sphere's duration.
