Hogwarts Legacy has landed and fans everywhere are able to explore the wizarding world for themselves. Instead of focusing on Harry Potter, you’re able to make your very own witch or wizard and pursue their own personal story. The setting is full of secrets and mysteries to unravel. If you’re looking to sink into a magical setting, then this is the game for you.
In this game, players are treated to a wide variety of spells they can learn, upgrade, and use. A particularly useful spell is Incendio, which you can learn from professor Hecat during the main story. Before you can attempt learning this new spell, you’ll need to be at least level 3. If you’ve been keeping up with quests and gathering collectibles when you spot them, then this really shouldn’t be much of an issue. To get you started, you’ll receive a couple of assignments from Professor Hecat.
Win Two Rounds Of Crossed Wands
First, you’ll need to join the Crossed Wands club. Then, you’ll need to win two rounds. For this, you’ll need to go see Lucan. He’ll set up your matches for you. The second match won’t be a cakewalk, but through well-timed blocks and counters, you should be able to claim victory.
Practice Spell Combinations
While you’re talking to Lucan, you can also ask to practice your dueling on a training dummy. Unlike many games that just give you something to hit, Lucan will actually guide you through timed spell combinations. This will help you hone your skills for dueling and other forms of combat. Take every opportunity you can to practice these combinations. You never know when they may help you in the heat of battle.
Speak To Professor Hecat
Once you’ve completed the assignments listed above, you can see Professor Hecat in the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom. She’ll be happy to teach you how to use Incendio.
Learn Incendio
Since you’ve learned other spells by this point, you should be familiar with the process of learning a new spell. You’ll guide the cursor and press the prompts at the appropriate times in order to learn the spell. Once you’ve learned incendio, go ahead and try it out on the training dummy in the back of the room. This is a useful spell that can harm foes, light torches or braziers, and burn away obstacles like cobwebs.
