Hogwarts Legacy has the player joining in as a 5th year with a lot to do to catch up to their classmates before exams at the end of the year. Luckily, the player is provided with the Field Guide, and many professors give you extra assignments to teach you new spells after completing a few tasks.

One of these tasks comes from the Herbology professor, appropriately named Professor Garlick. After completing their first task, players will receive an owl with a second task, rewarding players with Flipindo. As this is an assignment for the Herbology professor, there are lots of plants involved.

Completing Professor Garlick's Second Assignment

Player Harvesting Flaxseed Stem

To complete Professor Garlick's second assignment, players will need to use all three combat plants at the same time while also growing a harvesting a Fluxweed plant. The plant must specifically be grown and harvested, requiring players to buy the seeds and a table large enough to grow the plant.

Fluxweed plants require a large table to grow and take 15 minutes before they are fully grown, making it the better option to focus on first. These seeds can be purchased from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade for 350 Galleons. After buying the seeds, you'll need to make sure you have a table in the Room of Requirement that has a large pot. As this is not something you'll typically get, you will need to head to Tomes And Scrolls and purchase the scroll for a Large table, with the cheapest being 1,000 Galleons. After buying the seeds and table, create one in the Room of Requirement and plant a Fluxweed plant, and wait 15 minutes before it can be harvested.

During this time, acquire all three combat-based plants and use them at once on an enemy. Venomous Tentacula can be found in the Herbology class and obtained for free. Mandrakes can be purchased at Dogweed and Deathcap, either outright purchased or with the seeds to grow them yourself. Here you can also purchase outright the Chinese Chomping Cabbage or seeds. After obtaining all three of these plants, find an enemy to fight and throw out all three plants quickly. All three need to be active in combat, and depending on the number of enemies, combat may not last very long.

How To Use Flipendo

Player Obtaining Flipendo

Flipendo is much like Levioso, except while levitating your enemy, they will also be spinning upside down in the air. This is a helpful spell for puzzles and also combat. It pairs very well with Levioso when dealing with larger groups of enemies, as they both have decently short cooldowns and can be used to begin juggling an enemy in the air. This spell does not have a mastery upgrade but is powerful enough as is.
