Hogwarts Legacy is the much-anticipated game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. It is understandable that there is widespread excitement for this magical setting. Hogwarts Legacy is unlike any other Harry Potter game, as it doesn't actually involve Harry Potter at all. This game is set way before his time and follows your character as they start their journey at Hogwarts in their fifth year.

Within the game, there are many spells you can choose to use when you are taking on enemies or completing puzzles and side quests. In total, there are 26 spells you can learn and master. This guide will help you to utilize Levioso, the levitating charm.

Levioso's Talent Upgrade

Each of the ten basic spells — that's all the Control, Force, and two of the Damage spells — have specific Talent upgrades. You do not unlock Talents until you find the Map Chamber in the main storyline. You also have to be at least level 5 to unlock the Talent for Levioso. In order to unlock a Talent, you need Talent Points; these are gained by leveling up, so it is likely when you first unlock Talents that you will have a few points to spend.

The Levioso Talent Mastery allows you to levitate enemies that are close to the enemy you cast the spell on. So, if they are grouped close together, you can then cast Levioso to float them all in the air and incapacitate them for a short period of time. This then allows you to attack them or focus on other enemies while they are out of action.

Talents & Upgrades To Combine With Levioso

The Talent upgrade for Levioso is the only one you can unlock for Levioso specifically; however, there are Talents for other spells that can work well when combined with Levioso. Firstly, you are going to want to unlock Basic Cast Mastery. This is going to decrease all spell cooldowns for every Basic Cast that hits an enemy. This means you are going to be able to cast the spells over and over if you are combining them with your basic cast.

The other Talent to acquire is Basic Cast Airborne Absorption. This Talent will make it so Basic Casts will contribute more to the Ancient Magic meter when used on airborne enemies, which synergizes very well with the Levioso Mastery.

Spells To Combine With Levioso

When using Levioso with its Mastery, you can combine spells that are going to increase the damage you can do. If you are close to enemies, you can use Levioso on them, and then use Incendio, which is a close-range fire spell. If you then have the Incendio Mastery, this will send out a ring of fire when cast, meaning you can do more damage to the enemies you have grouped together and levitated.

Another Damage spell that will pair well with Levioso is Diffindo. This spell slashes enemies and objects, and it can be upgraded with the Mastery to pass through multiple enemies instead of just hitting one. If you use Levioso to levitate multiple enemies, and they are stacked one in front of the other, you can use Diffindo to slash through multiple enemies, making it easy to hit them when incapacitated. For both the damage spells, you can add the Traits to your clothing, which can increase the damage for each of these spells, making them even more deadly.

One of the best spells that combines with Levioso well is Descendo. Because you are levitating an enemy, they are farther off the floor, meaning Descendo does increased damage. Pair that with the Descendo Mastery, which will cause a damaging shockwave when the enemy slams to the ground and hurts those nearby.
