You will be dealing with a cute fluffy creature, Gerald, a Puffskein that is a little bit curious and, as Professor Howin warned, too curious and dangerous with his tongue always aiming for tamers' eyes.
Subsequently, you will see some other pretty common beasts before meeting a majestic female Hippogriff named Highwing, whom Poppy rescued from the Poachers way before your arrival at Hogwarts. In that circumstance, you will get a foreshadowing hint of Poppy's past with the poachers, and it will become clear the grudge that she holds against such Dark Wizards are also connected to one of the main villains of the game, Victor Rookwood.
Meeting Dragons and Centaurs

Poppy comes from a poacher family, but she has denied her origins, and she ran away from them. After winning the faith of the Centaurs, defeating the poachers, and ending the main quest, you will complete your heart-warming journey with Poppy in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, where she will show you her gratitude and speak to you with words of affection and friendship.
