In Hogwarts Legacy, Natsai Onai is a loyal friend, a brilliant student, and an Animagus gifted with an altruistic spirit, with whom you will spend your fifth year at Hogwarts. You will join her in a quest to grant liberty and safety to magical beasts and oppressed people around Hogwarts, especially in Hogsmeade.
Theophilus Harlow, the right-hand man of Victor Rookwood, is the ultimate threat you will face during this journey, in which Natsai is determined to go all the way. You will help her to avoid relieving her tragic past, in which she had been prematurely deprived of her beloved father during her childhood in Uagadou.
The Girl from Uagadou
In this quest of the main story that you will unlock in the very early stages of the game shortly after the Herbology and Potions Classes, you will start to strengthen the link between you and Natsai. Since she is concerned about Ranrok and Rookwood being on your tracks for what happened in the intro of the game, she will summon you to Hogsmeade to share a plan with you. The Girl From Uagadou is a dialogue-driven quest and can be completed just by speaking to her in Hogsmeade, and she will start showing her unselfish soul.
The High Keep
The High Keep is one of the most heart-warming quests of the games in which you will have to set free Highwing, Poppy Sweeting's beloved Hippogriff, which will become your loyal friend and mount once your rescue mission is completed.
To start your quest, you will have to reach Natsai right outside the Falbarton Castle during the night, and then you will have to follow these simple steps:
- Firstly, you have to climb the bastions of the castle just by following the environmental hints on the walls. Use Accio and Levioso on crates to reach the highest holds. The spinner, on the other hand, needs Depulso to be activated properly.
- Near the gate, you will have to cast Accio through the window right around the corner, and then you will have to destroy the wooden obstacle that blocks the entrance by using a damage-dealing spell.
- In order to open the main gate to let Natty enter the Falbarton Castle you should cast Depulso twice on the spinner and then Accio on the handle that becomes visible.
- Then you will have to carve your path using the crates by pulling them with Accio and casting Levioso on them in order to use them as steps to reach the higher spots. After this small platforming section, you will have to cast Alohomora on the steel door.
- You will get access to several interconnected small areas where you can find magical beasts to tame, chests to open, and an optional room that will require a more powerful version of Alohomora, at least level 2, to be opened.
- To proceed to the end of the quest, just get rid of the umpteenth wooden obstacle to open a path that leads to the roof.
- After an amusing cutscene, you must mount Highwing and fly over the lakes and the forest, witnessing splendid panorama, and follow Natty back to Hogwarts. This will conclude the quest, and you will not only be able to use Beast Mounts from that moment on but also Highwing the Hippogriff will become your loyal friend.
The Lost Child
In this quest, you will have to set free an innocent child kidnapped by the infamous Theophilus Harlow, the main antagonist of Natty's questline. To start the quest, you will have to meet with Mrs. Bickle and investigate the vanishing of her son, Archie. During your research, you will be made aware of the sad past of Natty, through a heart-touching account triggered by the vision of the Thestrals. She witnessed her father's death, who sacrificed himself to protect her daughter from evil men like Harlow and his Ashwinders in Uagadou.
To follow Archie's tracks, you will have to follow some simple steps:
- Firstly, you must cast Revelio and follow Natsai's lead.
- At a certain point, you will get interrupted by the ambush of some Dark Mongrels. After defeating them, you will get back on the trail and keep on investigating.
- Keep using Revelio to find clues until you reach an Ashwinder Tent.
- Inside the tent, you will have to use Alohomora on Archie's cage to set him free.
- To conclude the quest, you have to report back to Mrs. Bickle in Lower Hogsmeade.
Mum's the Word
This quest is dialogue-driven, and you will have to speak with Natty right outside the Divination Classroom. The professor of the above mentioned course is Natty's mother and is concerned about your investigations into Harlow's misdeeds.
A Basis for Blackmail
A Basis For Blackmail is where the plot thickens, and you will dive deep into the investigations of Harlow's wrong-doing, despite Officer Singer and Madam Onai's warnings.
Firstly, you will have to speak to three villagers of Hogsmeade that are being blackmailed by Harlow, to get aware of their problems and know what to do to help them once you are inside Ashwinder's Hideout:
- Agabus, who you will find near Magic Neep, got his poem book stolen, and you will retrieve it in the northern area of the hall of the hideout.
- Otto, who can be found near Gladrags Wizardwear, was deprived of his love letter, which is kept in the southern area of the hall of the hideout, inside a chest.
- Daisy, who will be waiting for you inside The Three Broomsticks, has her husband kidnapped, and you will have just to proceed throughout to quest to rescue him.
After getting acquainted with these three people in distress, you will have to report back to Natty, who is no longer waiting for you where she was supposed to be. To shed light on this suspicious situation, you will have to cast Revelio and follow Natty's tracks to the cellar of the Hog's Head Inn, and once inside, you will have to use Accio on the two visible holds to unlock the entrance.
It is strongly recommended a stealth approach to this mission. Get rid of some of the goons casting the Petrificus Totalus spell, since the Infamous Foe is pretty strong, to set up the terrain for an easier confrontation.
Shortly after, to rescue Natty and Mr. Rabe, you will have to go to the second floor, cast Revelio next to the desk, and use Alohomora on the chest to obtain the wand that will help your new acquaintance to break the curse that locks the cells where he and your friend are kept prisoners.
To complete this quest, you will just have to leave the hideout and report back to Officer Singer in Hogsmeade.
Grief and Vengeance
Another dialogue-driven quest. Shortly after saving Natsai and Mr. Rabe from Ashwinder's hideout, you will have to speak with your Gryffindor friend, who will be waiting for you in the Great Hall.
Finding Focus
After finishing the previous step of this questline and progressing through the main quest by completing In The Shadow Of The Mountain, you will have to meet again, in the same spot as Grief and Vengeance, with Natty. After a short dialogue, you will prepare yourselves for a future confrontation with Harlow in the courtyard of his manor.
Harlow's Last Stand
Natty will send you an Owl to let you know the crucial step of your journey with her. Everything you did together until that moment led to this very confrontation in which, after defeating Viktor Rookwood, you will eradicate the evil that plagues Hogsmeade once and for all.
- Firstly, you will meet her in a spot located slightly southwest of the Bainburgh Floo Flame. To start this quest, you will have to meet her during the night.
- Travel with Natty to the Manor and be ready for the confrontation making sure to have the three archetypes of spells equipped in your spell slots, since both Harlow and his goons can shield themselves multiple times.
- After defeating some of the Ashwinders, Harlow will make his grand entrance. You are supposed to focus on him during the fight in order to take him down.
- When you depleted his health and took him below 50%, he will start teleporting around the arena. All you have to do is to keep focusing on him and mash the button that will prompt on the screen as soon as Harlow's HPs drop to zero, in the very same way you defeated Rookwood earlier in the game.
Acting on Instinct
The last part of Natty's relationship questline will take place in the Hospital Wing and warm your heart. Natty will be waiting for you in a wheelchair, and after a short dialogue, you will both realize that she was no different from her father, a kind and unselfish soul ready to sacrifice herself for the people she loves.
