Now that you've saved the special Keeper's Wand by defeating Viktor Rookwood, it's time for a face-off between you and Ranrok, the final boss. So without wasting any time, let's move to The Final Repository walkthrough to help you complete the quest quickly and effectively.

Talk To Professor Fig In The Map Chambers

Hogwarts Legacy Professor Fig

To commence The Final Repository quest, make your way to the Map Chambers and speak to Professor Fig. During a cutscene, you will recount your battle with Viktor Rookwood, after which you will be presented with two dialogue options.

The two choices, "He got what he deserved" and "I had to defend myself," will not have any significant impact on the story's outcome. You are free to choose whichever option resonates with you. Subsequently, a new cutscene will commence, and Rackham will appear and emphasize that the magical abilities you have developed over time must be employed solely to safeguard the secrets of Hogwarts.

Rackham will affirm that you are now prepared to undertake this significant responsibility, and the fate of the legacy rests in your capable hands. Following the cutscene, the Keepers will unveil a hidden staircase that leads to a door that grants access to the Repository through the floor of the Map Chambers. It is crucial to reach there before Ranrok does.

Enter the Keepers’ Caverns

Way to Keepers' Caverns

Proceed straight ahead on the bridge and enter the door that lies in front of you. The Loyalists of Ranrok have made their way into the caverns below the school, and it is up to you and Professor Fig to stop them.

As you engage in battle with the Loyalists, you come to realize that Ranrok himself has already arrived at the scene. Your top priority now is to reach the Repository before he does, for the power it holds could spell doom for Hogwarts and its legacy.

With a couple of powerful strikes, you'll be able to defeat the enemies in mere minutes. However, the path ahead appears to be blocked, and you must find a way to proceed. Keep your eyes peeled for a wall emitting glowing white smoke, as this indicates a potential route that Professor Fig can open up for you to pass through.

After several other confrontations with the Goblins, you will come across another rock wall emitting bright white smoke, which the Professor will blow up to create a path forward.

Reach The Repository Before Ranrok

Hogwarts Professors arrived for help

As you progress, a cinematic sequence will activate, revealing a ton of opponents prepared to engage in combat. Fortunately, the Professors from Hogwarts have arrived to eliminate the opposition, paving the way for you to access the Repository.

Eliminate any obstacles in your path and navigate to the Repository as quickly as possible. During another cutscene midst of battle, Professor Sharp will come to your aid, and a well-timed attack from him will construct a bridge, serving as your passage forward.

As an extension of the preceding cinematic sequence, you will encounter two formidable giants who are guarding the entrance with swords. As they approach you, Professor Fig will request that you take out the Keeper's Wand. Upon seeing the wand, the guards will relinquish their swords and unlock the entrance, granting you access to the Repository.

The Repository in Hogwarts Legacy

After gaining entry into the Repository, Professor Fig will ask you about your intentions with the magic contained within. It is an important decision that will determine the outcome of the game. You will be given two options:

  • "I intend to keep it contained here." This option leads to a positive outcome, resulting in the attainment of the "Good Ending."
  • "I intend to open it." This leads to a negative outcome and results in the "Evil Ending."

It is crucial to weigh your options and choose wisely, as your decision will have a significant impact on the conclusion of the game.

Defeat Ranrok

Hogwarts Legacy Ranrok

With the Repository's powers, Ranrok transforms into a powerful dragon that cannot be defeated using normal attacks. He is invulnerable to all conventional methods of attack. In order to weaken him, you must focus on the colored orbs that appear around him during the fight. These orbs can be destroyed using the corresponding color spells, which will make Ranrok vulnerable to damage. However, be aware and stay on the move to avoid taking any damage.

The battle against Ranrok occurs in several phases, with each phase requiring the destruction of an increasing number of orbs. For instance, during the first phase, you must break one orb to make Ranrok vulnerable. During the second phase, you need to destroy two orbs, and during the third phase, three orbs must be destroyed to make Ranrok vulnerable.

Finally, you'll have a grounded face-off with Ranrok. Your priority should be to dodge his attacks while staying focused on destroying the colored orbs. Once Ranrok's health is diminished, three colored orbs will emerge in quick succession, and you must destroy each one rapidly to defeat him. Following the defeat, a distinctive cutscene will occur, contingent on the decision you made previously. With this, the final quest of the game's main storyline is completed.
