Hogwarts Legacy is full of beasts for the player to find in the open world and capture. You're able to take these beasts back to the Room of Requirement to take care of them and breed them, or just keep them far out of reach of the local poachers.
There are many beasts for the player to find in the open world, with many of them also being tied to side quests and shown how they interact with the NPCs of the world. For this quest, the player is tasked with finding a specific Diricawl that is said to be more unique than others. This quest will have you trying to catch the beast, so it's best to bring your nab-sack and a spell to freeze or levitate a beast while you try to capture it.
Beginning Birds Of A Feather
To begin this quest, head to the settlement of Marunweem, located to the south in the Marunweem Lake region. While walking through town, a woman will call you over and ask for your help. Miss Moffett will express her interest in a specific Diricawl, saying it is much more special than regular ones and that she would like for you to catch it for her. She will mark on your map what Diricawl nest you can find Gwyneira the Diricawl at, and only at night.
Finding And Catching Gwyneira
The specific Diricawl nest to locate Gwyneira will be marked on your map, with your best bet is flying due to its distance. After flying over to the nest's location, your player will remark that Gwyneira only appears at night. Should you arrive at night, you'll quickly see Gwyneira; otherwise, open up your map, and press the wait button to advance time to nightfall.
Gwyneira will appear slightly larger than other Diricawl and will have its name appear at the top of the screen when looking at it. This Diricawl will move quickly and can teleport short distances after being startled, but just far enough outside your nab-sacks range. Cast Disillusionment to turn invisible and approach Gwyneira without being detected. There will also be other Diricawl running around, so this spell can be used to scout out the nest and locate the correct Diricawl.
Approach Gwyneira and cast Levioso or Arresto Momentum, quickly switching to your nab-sack to capture the beast. As long as you are quick and close enough, you should be able to capture the beast right after your spell losses effect fully. After capturing the beast, return to Miss Moffett. You will be rewarded for completing the quest but are given the option to hand the beast over or keep it for yourself. While this decision only really impacts Miss Moffett's reaction, you are also able to keep Gwyneira for yourself.
