The wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy is a massive explorable world with a great main story and many side stories that the player can experience during their time at Hogwarts. Many of these quests are lighthearted, showing the player the extent of magic, people keeping beasts as pets, and the occasional annoying Ashwinder bothering a town.
Brothers Keeper takes place in the Upper Hogsfield region and will have the player searching for one of the villager's brothers. This quest's goals can be relatively simple, having the player go to an area and kill a few enemies, but it also shows some of the darker sides of the effects of magic in the wizarding world.
Beginning Brother's Keeper
This quest begins after the player walks through town and overhears Dorothy Sprottle. After talking to her, she will inform the player that another settlement resident, Bardolph Beaumont, should have returned by now but was practicing dark magic near the forest. Bardolph is the brother of one of Dorothy's friends and will task the player to head to the woods and check on Bardolph. The location will then be marked on the player's map, with your most effective means of travel always being your trusty broom.
Inferius And Bardolph Beaumont
After arriving at the marked location, the player will discover ruins that are currently crawling with Inferius. The player will first need to clear out all of the Inferius in the area who don't initially take damage. Inferius must first be hit with a fire-based spell for them to take the initial damage from the fire-based spell and then be susceptible to all other damage. It's best to bring both Incendio and Confringo, as they are both fire spells and can be upgraded to hit multiple enemies at once. As Inferius is defeated, more will claw their way out of the ground, and the player will have to defeat multiple before finding Bardolph.
After defeating multiple Inferius, the player will see Bardolph, who will spawn as a named Inferius wearing a unique jacket. This Inferius is much stronger than the others but is fought in the same way. As with any Inferius, first hit the boss with a fire-based spell for it to start taking damage. Focus everything you have on this boss, as it can quickly get lost among the other Inferius but will hit much harder than the others.
Even after this boss has spawned, there will still be a few more Inferius that spawn and fight alongside the boss, but defeating the boss is all that's required to continue the quest. After defeating the boss, return to the settlement and go to Barfolph's sister, Dorothy's friend. Here the player will be given the choice of telling Claire the truth about her brother or can lie to give her a false sense of happiness about his current situation. Neither option will have any subsequent effects on the game.
