One of the most amusing quest archetypes available in Hogwarts Legacy is the one that involves interpreting a hand-drawn map. Several clues are featured, among which you will find the time of the day, the locations to go through step by step, and the spell needed to trigger the quest.

How To Find The Map
During the sixteenth quest of the main storyline and after the narrative arc that will see you find a particular book in the Restricted Section of the Hogwarts Library, you will obtain the Map With Floating Candles. The map is related to the ghost of Richard Jackdaw.
He invited his Apollonia to join him on a picnic with romantic candlelight and indirectly asked you to collect his treasure after solving a small puzzle. The location in which you will start this quest and find the map differs from house to house:
- As a Gryffindor, during The Hunt Of The Missing Pages quest, on a gravestone after watching Sir Nicholas' cutscene.
- As a Ravenclaw, during the Ollivander's Heirloom quest, on the left side of the Owlery's roof.
- As a Hufflepuff, during the Prisoner Of Love quest, in which you will have the chance to visit Azkaban.
- As a Slytherin, during the Scrope's Last Hope quest, in a chest located on the right side of the grotto
How To Find The Treasure
Regardless of the house you belong to, there will be slight differences only in the beginnings, which are streamlined. The core and tricky part of the quest, which could require a little help, is the same for every playthrough and comes after obtaining the abovementioned Map With Floating Candles. Considering that, in this case, the tracker is not available, you will have to understand the map or follow these steps:
- Use the Forbidden Forest Foo Flame to travel to the location where you will start your treasure hunting.
- Use the Lumos spell at the beginning of the bridge next to the pathway. Be aware that the spell works properly only during the night. If you happen to travel there during the day, just open the map and wait for the night by pressing the right stick button. Several floating candles will appear, as well as the love letter that Richard Jackdaw wrote to her beloved Apollonia.
- Follow the candles that will appear on the bridge up to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest.
- Let them lead the way till you reach a lovely candlelit table with two chairs surrounded by cozy candles.
After this short romantic walk, you will be awarded a fascinating panorama, in which will materialize a treasure chest that will grant you a cosmetic item.
