The world of Hogwarts Legacy is full of all sorts of dangers. As you explore the open world, you are bound to run into countless dark wizards and goblins, most of which work for some of the most notorious villains in the game.
Even if you defeat the head honcho himself - Victor Rockwood - you’ll still need to deal with his right-hand man Theophilus Harlow. This guide will show you how to defeat him in battle and complete the quest - Harlow’s Last Stand.
Two Against Many
To start the quest, you’ll need to meet Natty in Manor Cape. After quickly discussing what lies ahead, the two of you will make your way up the hill to the manor and immediately enter a battle with Harlow and his gang. To defeat him, you’ll need to take down his massive health bar while simultaneously fighting off his underlings. Natty will help you keep the lesser enemies at bay, but in reality, you will be doing most of the work here.
There is no particular spell combination that will be ideal here, but it is good to have a mix of spell types, so you can work through the various shields that each of the lesser enemies has. We found that Confringo, Depulso, and Glacius were particularly helpful in removing all shield types, and keeping the enemy at bay while you slowly drain Harlow’s health.
Focus on building up your Ancient Magic meter by taking down the smaller enemies, and then use your Ancient Magic attacks to break Harlow’s guard and deal damage. At a few points during the battle, you’ll also enter a sequence where you and Harlow will lock wants, requiring you to mash a button to push his spell back. After doing this a few times, you’ll finally knock him down, seemingly defeating him.
Acting Before Thinking
As Harlow lies on the ground, you and Natty celebrate just as her mother and Officer Singer arrive. At this moment of distraction, Harlow casts Crucio at you while your back is turned. Natty seeing this jumps in front of the spell and takes the hit for you. Officer Singer pins down Harlow as Natty’s mother holds her daughter.
After a visit to the Hospital Wing back at Hogwarts, you speak with Natty. Here she explains that she finally understands that it wasn’t her fault that her father died. He had jumped in front of a spell to save her which ended his life. After doing the same for you, Natty realizes it was just instinct and that the blame for it lay on the person casting the spell. Absolved of her guilt, you leave Natty to recover, ending the final quest her story arch.
