When Diablo 4 announced it would have Paragon levels, long-time fans of the series started to get excited. Paragon Boards allow players to continue scaling and progressing long after the game has ended, providing hours of fun. In this iteration of the Paragon system, Blizzard has included Paragon Glyphs.

Paragon Glyphs introduces the ability to customize your end-game progression by giving your character unique bonuses and even increasing the power of nearby Paragon Nodes. However, you won't have access to all the glyphs for your class at the start. This guide gives tips for collecting Paragon Glyphs, a complete list of the Paragon Glyphs for Rogues, and draws your attention to some of the best glyphs available.

Updated by Abigail Angell on August 11, 2023: Paragon Glyphs continue to be a well-searched topic as players try out new builds, level their characters to 100, and try out other classes. With The Season of the Malignant out now, and several stat nerfs being patched into the game, we needed to revise our tables for accuracy.

How To Get Paragon Glyphs

Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeons

Players automatically get access to Magic Rarity Paragon Glyphs when they unlock the Paragon Board. However, there are also a number of Rare Glyphs for each class. To gain access to these, you'll need to find them in the game. Glyphs are most commonly dropped from Elite and Boss monsters (although they are occasionally available for purchase at an in-game NPC or dropped from a chest).

To give you the best chances of receiving a Paragon Glyph as a reward, run content with lots of Elite and Boss enemies such as Nightmare Dungeons or Strongholds.

Best Paragon Glyphs For Rogues

An image showing 7 Paragon Glyphs with the Paragon Board in the background

Combat, Control, Exploit, Ambush, and Diminish are some of the best Paragon Glyphs available to Rogues. These glyphs are very versatile and give bonuses to key mechanics for the class in the late-game.

Combat

In the case of Combat, you can never go wrong with Energy regeneration. Its primary bonus is nothing to sneeze at either - most of the Shredder Rogue builds rely on Core skills for the majority of their damage. Ideally, you'll select a glyph socket with plenty of nearby intelligence nodes to make the most of Combat's strengths.

Control

Control is the crowd control aficionado's dream. It causes your Rogue to deal up to 15% increased damage to crowd-controlled enemies. If those enemies are slowed or chilled, make that another 10% on top, or even 20% for Stunned or Frozen targets. You'll want to socket this glyph near Intelligence nodes, and level it for the best results.

Exploit

Exploit utilizes Strength Nodes to pump up your damage to Vulnerable targets. Additionally, it allows you to make targets Vulnerable simply by damaging them (with a twenty-second cooldown). Because the Vulnerable status condition is so important to late-game tactics, anything that makes it more effective will be a great fit for your build.

Ambush

Ambush on the other hand is geared toward Traps, which is another mechanic heavily relied on by the best late-game Rogue builds. However, keep in mind that trap-build rogues were nerfed in patch 1.0.3 (they're still powerful, but not quite as broken as at launch). To make the best use of this glyph, socket it nearby Strength nodes.

Diminish

Diminish is probably the worst of the five glyphs in terms of optimization, but its versatility more than makes up for it. It primarily gives a sizable buff to nearby Magic Nodes — which will have a varying effect based on where you socket the glyph. However, it also reduces the damage you take from vulnerable enemies. Because they are so squishy, Rogues always benefit from a bit of extra survivability.
