A keen-eyed Tears Of The Kingdom player, known on Reddit as JanewayForPresident, recently discovered a method by which attaching "Mineru's Mask" to a "Zonai Wing Device" results in a significant 30-second extension to the wing's flight time. In addition, they have confirmed that saving the mask within the Autobuild feature and then using it with different wings is a repeatable process without any limitations.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Mineru serves as a hidden fifth sage within the confines of the secret Spirit Temple. Her Temple can only be accessed after meeting the other four Sages and successfully completing their Fire, Wind, Water, and Lightning Temples. Before gaining access to the puzzles of the Spirit Temple, players must first acquire a green mask that sits on a pedestal and carry it while gliding on a Zonai Wing to a certain location where the puzzle solving would take place.

Many players would probably not realize that the mask has a hidden effect at this point, or that the mask is a source of any effect at all. Every player would probably attach some fans to the Zonai Wing (from the nearest Zonai Dispenser) to act as its propeller and keep it in the air as long as possible. No one would think of doing this step without fans, and no one would think of using Mineru's Mask—a non-zonai item—for any other purpose.

Nevertheless, this player decided to take the Zonai Wing for two laps, one with the mask attached (after saving it in the Autobuild function so he could use it whenever they wanted), and one lap without the mask attached. The first lap with the mask ended with the Zonai Wing staying in the air for about one minute and 46 seconds, while the one without the mask ended with the Zonai Wing staying in the air for only one minute and 13 seconds.

JanewayForPresident also adds that "extra copies (of the mask) don’t provide additional time beyond the initial +30s", meaning that the effect is not stackable.

Players theorize that the developers intentionally gave the mask this effect for the sake of the quest, but did not expect fans to take it "out of context" and experiment with its effects elsewhere. It's a mind-blowing revelation, but unfortunately, this mask is confined to this particular quest, meaning that if a player did not save it to their Autobuild library when they could have, it would be considered missing from that playthrough forever (which is probably the case for most players who should have finished the game by now).
