New missions in Honkai Star Rail means new rewards and Stellar Jade to pick up. However, as always, you'll need to solve a few complicated puzzles and defeat powerful enemies before you can get your hands on these coveted items.
In the Trailblaze Mission "A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant," you'll need to solve a couple puzzles within the Scalegorge Waterscape. If you've found yourself stuck and unable to progress, we've got you covered.
Remove The Three Vidyadhara Seals
At the start of the mission, you'll need to remove the three Vidyadhara Seals scattered across the Scalegorge Waterscape. Each will require you to light up some pillars in the correct order to remove the seal. Use this section to learn how to solve all three.
First Vidyadhara Seal - Southern Region
The first seal we will unlock is in the southern portion of Scalegorge Waterscape. For this one, you'll want to look at the ground beneath each lantern to see how many blocks are lit up. This will tell you the order you should touch each lantern to correctly solve the puzzle.
Within the yellow circle on the mini-map, you'll want to start by touching the lantern at the very top right, with one lit up block underneath it. Then, you'll want to head to the lantern across from it on the top left, and touch it. The third one will be on the bottom right, and the final one on the bottom left. After you've correctly activated them in order, you can move onto the next seal.
Second Vidyadhara Seal - Northern Region
This seal you'll find to the north of the previous seal. There will be an Abomination enemy waiting in the center, which you will need to defeat before you can move on. Afterward, inspect the area in the middle and pick up the Revelation Slate.
You can view the Revelation Slate by pressing 'R' on your keyboard, which will show you the order you'll need to touch each lantern. The order will be:
- First: Top Right Corner, Lower Stone
- Second: Bottom Left Corner, Upper Stone
- Third: Top Left Corner, Upper Stone
- Fourth: Bottom Right Corner
Third Vidyadhara Seal - Western Region
The last seal you'll need to remove will be in the western region of Scalegorge Waterscape. There will be four murals on the walls in this area, and they essentially depict the life of a Vidyadhara, all the way from infancy to adulthood. You're going to want to activate each lantern starting from the mural depicting the youngest form of the Vidyadhara, all the way to the oldest. You can use the above images as reference on the order you should activate them, which will be:
- First: Mural showing a small baby with horns
- Second: Mural showing one Vidyadhara elder, and two children Vidyadharas
- Third: Mural showing one Vidyadhara cooking, and two in battle
- Fourth: Mural showing two older Vidyadhara, one with long, flowing hair, and the other holding a lantern
Step Into The Depths Of The Roots Of The Arbor
Once you've removed every seal in the area, you'll want to start heading northwest towards the Roots of the Arbor. This spot will be just past two Vidyadhara Mirage Echoes, the blue ghosts found in the area.
After a short cutscene, you'll then need to begin a battle with Phantylia the Undying in order to receive the Ambrosial Arbor. We have a whole guide on how you can defeat her, with suggestions on your team and some strategies you can use.
