Pokemon games are notorious for having tons of items that players can use to help their Pokemon out. Whether you need to heal a Pokemon's health, heal it from a Status Condition, or increase Friendship, chances are a berry can help you out.
Since being introduced to the franchise, these items have seen all kinds of uses. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are full of them, and each one does something unique that will be beneficial to any Pokemon trainer wanting to be the very best.
What Are Berries?
Berries are items that can be found scattered around Paldea. There are 45 berries in total throughout the region. These items are essential to players who plan on playing competitively as they can help you have more control over your Pokemon. Some of these Berries can even help you control your Pokemon's EVs, making them the powerhouse you want. These Berries will make your life easier if you pick them up when you can and use them to their fullest potential.
Gym Challenge Rerun Rewards
One way you can find Berries is to complete the Gym Challenge Reruns. This will open up once you beat the Elite Four and the Champion. After your battle, Geeta will ask you to rechallenge all the gym leaders to ensure that they are trying their very best. A large number of Berries are available via this method.
Auction House
Another way you can find Berries is by buying them at the Auction House. In order to reach the Auction House, you must first challenge Kofu's Water-Type Gym. This Gym can be found in Cascarrafa. After speaking to him, he will run off to Port Marinada, where the Auction House is located. You will then have a tutorial on the Auction House. After this, you can check by every in-game day to see what items are available.
Dropped Items
The final and easiest, way to get Berries is to find them on the ground. They will appear like any other dropped item. If you see something sparkling on the ground, be sure you interact with it to pick it up. You can also use the Let's Go! feature to have your Pokemon pick the Berry up for you. Almost all Berries can be found using this method.
