Pokemon Home has been an amazing addition to the Pokemon games. This app allows you to transfer Pokemon from your Pokemon games into one centralized location. You can then transfer those Pokemon into other games depending on their compatibility.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have finally received the long-awaited update to be compatible with Pokemon Home. This will allow players to move their Pokemon around and bring their favorites into the game. One major surprise with this update is the ability to obtain a special Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly when you connect Pokemon Home to your game. Here is a guide to do just that.
What Is Pokemon Home?
As Pokemon's official website describes it, "Pokemon HOME is a service that allows you to keep your entire Pokemon collection in one place. Developed both for Nintendo Switch and as a mobile app, Pokemon HOME stores your Pokemon from a number of Pokemon series games. You can also trade your Pokemon in various ways with people around the world!" Pokemon Home is one of the most exciting additions to happen to Pokemon. It keeps your Pokemon from past generations saved in one place. It also allows you to get special Pokemon such as the Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly that will come with Hidden Abilities when you connect certain games to the app.
In order to Link Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with Pokemon Home, you must be on the Switch version of the app. If you want to obtain Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, you must be on the mobile version of the app (iOS/Android).
How To Connect Pokemon Home To Scarlet And Violet
Connecting your Pokemon Home to your Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet isn't too difficult at all. First, you will want to make sure you have the 3.0.0 update for Pokemon Home. You must be on the Switch version of the app to work. It will detect the version of the game that you have been playing on the Switch. This will allow it to easily link the two together. Once Pokemon Home is updated, follow these steps.
1. Select the Pokemon option from the main menu.
2. Select Pokemon Scarlet or Violet. The Switch will automatically detect the game you've played and will show it here. Selecting that game will link the two together.
How To Transfer Pokemon From Scarlet and Violet To Pokemon Home
After you have selected Pokemon Scarlet or Violet from the games, you can find the Pokemon that you want to move.
When you select the Pokemon, hit the "Move" option.
You can then place the Pokemon wherever you want within your Pokemon Home collection.
If you want to move a Pokemon from Pokemon Home to Scarlet or Violet, you just need to do the same steps.
Once you are finished moving your Pokemon around, just hit the + button and select "Save changes and exit." You'll then find your Pokemon in whichever box you placed it in inside the game.
How To Obtain Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly For Connecting The Games
Unfortunately, these Pokemon are only available for those with the mobile version of the app on iOS or Android. If you have this, you can obtain these Pokemon easily. You should have the option to just accept the gift. If not, follow these steps.
1. When in the app, you will see a green button below your Pokemon in your room.
2. Tapping on that button will bring up a list of items. You'll want to select Mystery Gifts.
3. On the next screen, select Gift Box. Once you do that, they should show up.
