What Happened Previously On Zom 100?
In the previous episode of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, the story kicked off with Kencho researching the outbreak as Akira indulged in a zombie-themed video game. Akira then wondered about his family's safety, who were currently in Gunma. Following Kencho's hair-dye escapade, Akira revealed his childhood dream to be a zombie-fighting superhero. Adding it to their bucket list, they visited an aquarium, where Akira crafted a superhero suit from a shark costume. The scene shifted to bus survivors facing infection chaos. Amid the turmoil, Akira appeared as Akiraiger to rescue the survivors.
The woman we saw previously rushed by Akira, entering the aquarium with a group. Seeing a chance to impress her, Akira aimed to fend off the pursuing zombies. Pain struck as he was bitten, prompting him to seek Kencho's aid. However, with only one shark suit, Kencho declined. Akira threw the zombies into the lake, yet, the woman's dissatisfied gaze revealed his failure. Rejoining Kencho, Akira was encouraged to approach her, and she questioned his motives and the risk involved. Suddenly, a noise interrupted, leading them to a shark containing trapped humans.
As the shark started to chase them, Akira, Kencho and all the survivors ran for their lives. Everyone made it to the emergency exit, except for Akira's crush, and he instantly rushed to rescue her from the shark. Curious about his determination, she aided in devising a plan to conquer the threat. Overwhelmed, Akira gained strength from Kencho's distraction, landing an electrifying blow with the batteries. Learning her name was Shizuka Mikazuki, they exchanged contacts. Sharing her aspirations, she bid farewell as Akira and Kencho set their sights on Gunma in search of Akira's family.
