In the previous episode, Xiao Li embarked on a heart-pounding chase after Li Tianxi. Amidst the pursuit, a startling revelation came to light that Cheng Xiaoshi was harboring a concealed tracker. On the other hand, Wang Juan's unexpected disclosure added to the intrigue. As tensions escalated between Cheng Xiaoshi and Li Tianxi, questions loomed; Could there have been more to Li Tianxi's persona than met the eye?

In a bustling street confrontation, both Xiao Li and Wang Juan found themselves under attack. Despite the odds, Xiao Li impressively subdued a larger adversary in the battle. Yet the victory was short-lived as he was advised to shift focus to aiding Wang Juan. Amidst a fierce fight, Wang Juan valiantly fought off armed assailants, only for her struggle to conclude disappointingly before Xiao Li's intervention. Her character had more to offer, but it wasn't used well. She showed Xiao Li's problems, but her impact wasn't as strong as Chen Bin's loss.

At the end of the episode, Lu Guang reappeared just in time, raising hopes of rescuing Cheng Xiaoshi; however, the success still remained uncertain. As the episode came to an end, his daring escape from the hospital and pursuit on a stolen boat, despite recent life-threatening injuries, was undeniably impressive.
