Since the start of the battle, the outcome of the battle has been uncertain, but the spoilers for Chapter 233 make us feel pity for Gojo, watching him struggle against Mahoraga, Sukuna and a new Shikigami. Even his greatest attack, Infinity, has been rendered useless in the battle, and the chapter ends on a major cliffhanger, where Gojo decides to use his last resort to defeat Mahoraga. If that attack fails too, then we may really witness "Gojoover."
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 233 Spoilers
The editor's comments at the start of the chapter state, "The hands of the devil has finally connected. Gojo is an overwhelming predicament." With Mahoraga now adapted to Infinity, everyone seems worried; however, Yuji is still hopeful. He states that even though Mahoraga has adapted to Infinity, he's at an equal level with Gojo, and the latter's wounds will soon be healed.
The chapter shifts to Shoko Leiri, who looks panicked and has smoked dozens of cigarettes. She notices that Gojo's healing speed has declined. Shoko wonders if Gojo can use Reverse Cursed Technique as he used Cursed Technique Reversal: Red earlier; however, its impact is decreasing. But she assumes that it would be the same for Sukuna as well.
The narration says that everyone thought Gojo might lose; even he himself thought the same, and Gojo wonders what the last time he felt like this was, and suddenly Toji Fushiguro appeared in his mind. The narration continues that although there are signs of Gojo losing, he's getting a sense of satisfaction as he had always remained the strongest, which was quite lonely for him. The battle between Gojo and Mahoraga continues, and the former punches the latter in his face and then pushes him back, making him choke.
Gojo then starts reciting the chants to restore his lowered output and blasts CTR: Red. In the meantime, Sukuna regains consciousness and activates the Rabbit Escape technique. The effect of CTR: Red doesn't do much damage, and Mahoraga escapes. Gojo realizes that Sukuna is protecting Mahoraga and using him for attacking, as he has finally adapted to Infinity.
Sukuna throws a fire extinguisher toward Gojo and creates smoke everywhere. In the meantime, Mahoraga attacks Gojo from above, and at the same time, Sukuna attacks him with the water shooting technique from Max Elephant.
Gojo seems impressed with Sukuna and compliments him for being able to use the Shikigami abilities without having to summon them. As soon as Gojo defends himself against Mahoraga's attacks, Sukuna attacks him and wounds Gojo. He realizes that as soon as his Infinity will vanish, Sukuna will also come to attack, which means he has to deal with two opponents now.
While Gojo is contemplating the situation and wondering if adapting to Red would take more time than Blue, Sukuna interrupts his thoughts and introduce us to a new shinigami named "Chimera Beast Agito." This new shinigami seems to be a mix of Totality and Nue. This means the battle is not 2 vs. 1, but 3 vs. 1 now. However, Gojo seems undeterred by the situation and laughs at Sukuna, saying that he (Sukuna) looks like a lost child with those the Shikigami around him.
The battle starts again, and everyone attacks Gojo; however, he evades all the attacks, including Sukuna's Max Elephant attack. Gojo moves behind Mahoraga and blasts him with Red; however, the effect is weak. Gojo contemplates that now he is only left with one option to defeat Mahoraga in one shot. He thinks that although Sukuna might be aware of it, there's no other choice left for him but to use an Unlimited Hollow Technique.
