However, since then, Kenpachi has been gone for good, and fans have been waiting for his return. But we all know Kenpachi listens to none other than his sweet little Lieutenant Yachiru. As soon as he sensed a significant fluctuation in her Spiritual Pressure, Kenpachi returned in an instant, and now, Kenpachi was the one to be dealt with.n However, he's not the kind of guy anyone would ever want to battle.

Bleach: TYBW Part 2 Episode 7 Reveals Kenpachi's Shikai For The First Time

Bleach TYBW gives a good look at Kenpachi Zaraki Shikai form

Firstly, we would like to remind you that Kenpachi chooses his opponents like we choose clothes while shopping, and it's really respectful if Kenpachi decides to fight with you. Secondly, he's the only guy in the 13 Court Guard Squad who didn't have a Bankai until Bleach: TYBW but still managed to attain the rank of a Captain, and not only that, he's considered the strongest of all by many. But in the recent battle against Gremmy Thoumeaux, Kenpachi didn't just enjoy the battle (which he hardly does), but he also tested his sword's second release form for the first time.

Gremmy, despite his child-like visage, wielded formidable powers that sent shivers down spines. As a Sternritter "V" for "The Visionary," he had the ability to manifest his imagination into reality, like he could literally imagine anything and that was supposed to become reality. Within the episode, he maneuvered his powers by turning Yachiru's bones into cookies, leaving her completely helpless.

As the battle between Gremmy and Kenpachi started, it turned out that the latter was not the only one enjoying the battle, but the former was also taking pleasure in fighting for the first time. If Gremmy wanted, he could have ended the battle instantly by imagining anything against Kenpachi, like he dies instantly, or maybe he kills himself, or Kenny becomes a bowl of ramen (if Gremmy had been a ramen fan like Naruto.) However, he wanted to test the extent of Kenny's strength, but little did he know that guys like Kenny are not made for his little plays. As Gremmy summoned a giant meteor with his imagination to unleash upon the Sereitei, Kenny, undeterred as always, headed straight toward the meteor and cut it into two pieces. That's when we got a first good look at his sword's Shikai form for the first time, making it look like a giant axe with a unique design at the end and a few green-color tassels tied to it.

The ability of Kenpachi's Shikai is as simple as the guy himself: no dirty tricks or confusing scientific explanations attached to it. Upon its activation, Kenpachi is able to cut through anything with a single strike, and anything means through physical objects and through non-tangible things like space. Kenpachi's sword took a toll on Gremmy as well, and the Sternritter was simply cut in half with its immense power. Witnessing Kenpachi's level of power, Gremmy had a thought if he was fighting a monster, and Kenny took advantage of that same thought and used Gremmy's own powers against him.
