There is nothing else to hirelings besides their ability to fight, meaning they don't have unique dialogues or any flavors to add to the game. Still, they can be a viable addition to the team and help you with your fights. So how can you get them to join your part? This Baldur's Gate 3 guide will teach you how to recruit hirelings.

How To Hire Hirelings

Talking to withers in Baldur's Gate 3

The only way to hire hirelings is by talking to Withers at your camp. He offers you a variety of hirelings to choose from, and you pick any of them for 100 gold. Once you do that, you can get a hireling to join your party. That said, if you don't have the Withers at your camp, you will first need to get him. You can find Withers at Dank Crypt, and after having a chat, he will join you at your base. It's also worth noting that you must be at least level 3 to hire a hireling from the Withers.

How To Dismiss Hirelings

If you no longer need a hireling, you can return them to Withers. You can do that by heading back to your camp and taking to the Withers. In the menu to recruit hirelings, you will get the option to dismiss hireling. Now you know how to recruit hirelings in Baldur's Gate 3 and a way to dismiss them whenever you like.
