Baldur's Gate 3 has a variety of spells and magic items, but players are showing special interest in is The Mask of the Shapeshifter. This magic item allows the player to cast Disguise Self at will, circumventing the consequences of your criminal activities and racist NPCs in Faerun.

How To Get The Mask Of The Shapeshifter
The Mask of the Shapeshifter is included in the Deluxe Edition of Baldur's Gate 3. Players who bought the game in early access have this edition automatically; otherwise, you'll need to pay extra. If you've already purchased the game, you can upgrade via Steam or the PlayStation Store for about ten dollars.
Where To Find The Mask Of The Shapeshifter
If you have the Deluxe Edition, The Mask of the Shapeshifter will show up in your Traveler's Chest in Camp along with your other rewards. This chest is marked on your map with a locked chest icon — usually located next to Shadowheart's tent.
How To Use The Mask Of The Shapeshifter
In order to use The Mask of the Shapeshifter, you'll need to equip it in your helmet spot. Once you've done so, you'll notice a new ability show up called Shapeshift. This ability shares the same icon as the Disguise Self spell but has many more options.
Choosing A New Appearance
Clicking on the Shapeshift button will cause a menu to appear with thirty-two options. These correspond to each of the body types for each race in the game, and they allow you to temporarily change your appearance. Clicking on one — then on yourself — will complete the transformation into that disguise. Once you have Shapeshifted, you do not need to continue wearing The Mask of the Shapeshifter to keep your new form.
Reverting To Your True Appearance
If you no longer want to be Shapeshifted, then you can revert to the appearance you chose at character creation. To do so, click the button on the far right-hand side of your action bar which depicts a broken mask, then on yourself. You may need to scroll if you have a lot of actions.
