Having a range of powerful weapons in a game allows for a lot of versatility, as well as making tough boss fights significantly easier. Sometimes you can get them by completing quests, but sometimes you will need to defeat a mighty foe to get your hands on one.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, you will come across many great weapons in many different ways. One good example is Blood of Lathander, which you will need a special key to acquire safely. Another is Light of Creation which is obtained by looting it off the body of a specific enemy.

Finding The Guardian Of The Arcane Tower

Baldur's Gate 3 Elevator

Head on over to the Arcane Tower location and go to the coordinates, X: -35, Y: -305. You will see several platforms heading down from this point. You will be making your way down these platforms to reach the bottom. These can be quite the drop, so it would be a good idea to have a magic user cast Feather Fall, or require a spell that uses the same effect as the spell. This will allow you to safely land from platform to platform. Feather Fall is a level 1 spell, so it is very easy to acquire from any caster that has it on their spell list. You will want to jump from the ledge you are on to some fungus caps below.

From these caps, hop to the ledge under the one you were standing on. Jump down again to more fungus caps and then from here to the stone pathway at the bottom of the map. Make your way to X: -74, Y: -284, and pick up the Sussur Bloom. This is a bright blue flower. Once you’ve picked it up, head to X: -56, Y: -293 to find an Ornate Door. It’s locked so you can choose to pull out your Thieves Tools or smash it to little pieces. It is always best to try checks first, as they can give a sense of reward and satisfaction. Make your way through the archway and follow the wall on your right side. You will come to the Power Generator.

Interact with it for a window to be displayed. You will need to place an item in this window. This is why you had to go pick the flower first. Place the Sussur Bloom in the window and accept. A few seconds will pass and the crafting will be successful. To the right of the generator will be a large stone pillar, and to the right of that will be some old wooden stairs. Make your way to the top of these to find another flight of stairs. At the very top will be an elevator-like contraption. Take this elevator all the way to the top.

If you decided to split up your party to only have one character make this journey, pop back to the rest of the party and have them wait in the room outside the balcony where you made the long jumps. In the middle of this room will be where the elevator will be. You can pick up the rest of your party as you keep going up, room by room. When you get to the very top, a robot-like NPC named Bernard will stop you and engage in dialog. Bernard is the Guardian of the Enchanted Tower, telling them that there is good in everything will lead to a fight and getting the item that you seek. If by chance you choose the dialog branch that does not trigger a fight, you can attack Bernard manually.

Getting The Light Of Creation

The Light of Creation can be looted from Bernard after he is defeated. It is a Two-Handed Halberd that deals 1d10+1 slashing damage. It has a range of 2.5 meters, is heavy, requires two hands to wield, provides extra reach, and can be dipped. This weapon will also feature Weapon Enchantment +1. This Enchantment will allow it to deal an extra 1d6 of Lighting damage and has a chance to stun the wielder if they are not a construct like Bernard.

Other Loot From Bernard

In addition to the Light of Creation, looting Bernard after defeating them will net you another nice piece of gear, a potion, and a key. You will be able to get a ring called Guiding Light. This ring will let you cast the Light cantrip and is a key item for the game, along with the Antique Key. The potion is a Potion of Flight. This potion would have been very handy at the start of this fight.
