Updated by Brandon Morgan on August 16, 2023: With the scope of Act 1 in Baldur's Gate 3, players spend quite a bit of time in and around Druid Grove. As such, we wanted to update this guide with additional links to better suit the accompanying gameplay in the area.

Every Merchant In Druid Grove

Various merchants are scattered throughout the world of Baldur's Gate 3, and as one of the first hub areas, Driud Grove features four unique merchants who will sell the player various specialty goods. But first, players need to gain entrance.

It's easy enough getting into Druid Grove. Upon discovering the small settlement, we discover a horde of goblins moving in on a small band of scouts trapped outside the gates. By helping out in the combat encounter, players will gain entrance to the town. Once inside, players can meet and interact with several NPCs, including Wyll, the companion, and a few merchants.

Arron

Players will find Arron at an altar just inside the cave at Druid Grove. He will sell potions, magic scrolls, unique types of arrows, torches, melee weapons, clothing, and Thieves' Sets for opening locks and disarming traps. Arron also has one of the largest pools of gold of any merchant in the area so that players can sell unwanted items for quick cash.

Dammon

Dammon, found down the stairs in the pit-like area, will sell the player various arrows, melee and ranged weaponry, shields, and armor. Like Arron, Dammon has a large pool of gold to buy goods from the player party.

Auntie Ethel

Something is a bit off about Auntie Ethel, and depending on who is in the player party, they'll let the main character know not to trust her with any information. But she's still a merchant with some gold, and Ethel will sell the player potions and rare alchemical ingredients. She's also part of the Removing the Parasite main quest line.

Mattie

Lastly, Mattie is available for players who wish to first play a game with a ring that offers good luck. Once that's done, Mattie will sell Thieves' Tools to open locks and various unique rings that provide special buffs to the party. Unfortunately, Mattie has the least amount of gold available of all the merchants in the area.

How To Rob Merchants

Of course, selling items for gold in Baldur's Gate 3 is nice and all, but what if players could make some gold and keep their things? It's entirely possible to rob merchants in Baldur's Gate 3, though doing so puts us firmly on the path to becoming a villain. It's a risk, and only the player may determine whether that risk is worthwhile or not.

First, know that being caught does have repercussions. If the player is caught trying to rob a merchant, that merchant will close their store to the player and likely will turn hostile.
