Many times a game will have a quest that requires you to travel to different parts of the world and check off different goals. Accomplishing each of these challenges can reward you with a piece of something larger, or entirely different things that all need to be brought together.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has many quests that follow this structure, but few will give you a truly epic reward. This guide will show you how you can get the Dawnmaster’s Crest, which will act like a key to getting a weapon that acts as the final reward for the Find The Blood Of Lathander questline. This weapon is the Blood of Lathanader, a much sought after weapon, just like the Light of Creation.

These embedded links include one for a guide about where to use the Dawnmaster's Crest to get a powerful weapon called Blood of Lathandar. Another link has been added for how to get another great weapon, the Light of Creation.

Collecting The Ceremonial Weapons

Sacred Weapons Room in Baldur's Gate 3

If you have not yet reached Act 2, you will need to progress your playthrough before you can acquire that which you seek. In fact, just keep playing until you reach Creche Y’llek, this will make starting this quest much easier. After you find the creche, leave the doors you entered so that you are back in Rosymorn Monistary. Head up the stairs and to the statue of Lathander. You can find it at X: 80, Y:70. At the base of this statue is a plaque. Interact with it. You will now need to collect several ceremonial weapons.

Rusty Mace

To get the first of these weapons, you will need to head on over to the open door on the left of the south side of the Monastery. You can find it at X: 93, Y: 45. Keep in mind, these coordinates may vary slightly for where your camera is, but the door will be on the screen and easy to see. As you pass through this door, follow the wall on the left, and you will see an opening that your party can pass through to get into another room. Do not go through here yet. Instead, you will head to X: 92, Y:30 to find a Rusty Mace. Despite its appearance, this is one of the 3 weapons you will be using.

Ceremonial Warhammer

Head back to the large crack in the wall and move your party through it. Now, Head up the first three flights of stairs. Then, you will need to use your jump to reach the broken flight of stairs at X:115, Y:26. Head up these broken stairs and take a left to go under an archway. Turn the camera and head North to find some vines hanging from the roof.

Climb all the way to the top of the vines. You will see some enemies. There is more than one Ancient Giant Eagle, but there is a chance the game will group them all in the same place, making it seem like there is only one. Either way, you will want to hit them with an AoE attack to deal as much damage at the start as you can. Once these enemies have been dealt with, inspect the nest they were at to find a Ceremonial Warhammer. These enemies should not be too hard, but if you find some of your characters took a rather heavy beating, or need to top up their features, you should take a rest before heading to the next room.

Ceremonial Battleaxe

Head on back down the vines you came from and on the opposite side will be a large pair of doors. You will have a variety of options to open these doors. Feel free to approach it with whichever composition your party has gone with, the most common would be to just use Thieves Tools. There is a barricade just past the door that you can jump over. Inside this room will be the Guardian of Faith. This enemy is actually less of a challenge than the eagles since you can surround it before starting the fight and then just relentlessly damage it until it goes down. You can pick up the Ceremonial Battleaxe where you defeat this target.

Acquiring The Dawnmaster’s Crest

Dawncrest and Note in Baldur's Gate 3

Jump back outside the room you just fought the Guardian of Faith. To the right, you will find a path where the floor is broken. Jump over the gap to get to X: 80, Y:50. Follow the corridor North and you will come to a room filled with stone pedestals. Placing the weapons you have collected on these pedestals will cause the crystals on them to light up. After setting down all the weapons you collected, you will see a piece of the wall open up. There will be a pouch inside of it that you can interact with. Inside this pouch will be the Dawnmaster’s Crest. There is also a piece of paper inside this pouch called, “Note to the next Dawnmaster”.
