Where To Find Mithril Ore

To find Mithril Ore, you have to go to Grymforge in the Underdark. To get there, head to Decrepit Village, specifically the Underdark - Beach location (X:23, Y:-210), where you will enter a cinematic and speak with a Duergar NPC. You can fight him and his party during the conversation to get access to the Underdark Duergar Boat.

Make sure you've saved and are well-rested before committing to combat.

After that, you can interact with the stationed boat there and start heading to Grymforge. On your way, you encounter another boat of NPCs, one of which (Corsair Greymon) will board your ship to talk. You will need to either fight this group or deescalate the situation. There are three ways to resolve the encounter:

  • Deceive them, which has a difficulty level of 15.
  • You can also use Intimidate on them with a difficulty level of 10.
  • Lastly, push Corsair Greymon into the water to start a fight.

Make the choice that feels right for your character; every outcome will lead toward Grymforge. Upon reaching your destination, you will be asked to pay some gold to get inside. We recommend rejecting it as it does not have any effects. After proceeding from there, make your way to The Adamantine Forge. Here you can roam around and find Mithril ores. To break those, use any of your characters to attack the ores.

Once you break those, they will drop Mithril, and you can pick them up. That said, Grymforge is one of the advanced areas with exploding lava. You have to be careful on your way to find the ores and sometimes defeat a few strong foes. Once you get the ore, you can use it how you want, be it crafting your favorite weapons or something else.
