The Helldusk Armor set is arguably one of (if not the) best armor sets in the game. However, it is also one of the most challenging to obtain. If you want this set of armor, you are going to have to work hard for it. Baldur's Gate 3 won't let you do it the easy way.

How To Enter The House Of Hope

Baldur's Gate 3 - Helldusk Armor Portal

The House of Hope has several ways you can enter. You can either sell your soul to Raphael and have him tell you about the place, or you can pretend you will sign his contract and then deny it after he tells you of the area. If you sell your soul, Gale and/or Karlach will beg you to enter into the House of Hope and destroy your contract. If you reject his offer, Gale will beg you to enter into the House of Hope and Steal Orpheus's Hammer that is tucked away inside the area. Either way, you will need to talk to Raphael. Once he speaks to you about the House of Hope, he will mention a diabolist named Helsik. It just so happens that there is someone named Helsik in Baldur's Gate who owns a shop called the Devil's Fees.

You can then head into Baldur's Gate and go looking for Helsik. While in her shop, your party members can do Arcane Checks to check out some of the authentic pieces Helsik has from the Hells. Once you speak to her, she says she can get you there for a fee. For 10,000 Gold she will help you. However, if you pass a Persuasion Check, you can get her down to 1,000 Gold. (If you are a Rogue, you can offer to steal something for her in exchange for her help.) Once she tells you what to do, you just need to open a portal to hell. She will give you everything you need and give you step-by-step instructions. All you need to do is head upstairs and follow the ritual.

The Helldusk Helm are found in a safe across from the boudoir in the House of Hope. You can find the safe by passing a Perception Check on the gemstone on the wall across from the boudoir's entrance. Then you will need to pass an Arcane and Investigation Check. Once that is done, you will find the Helldusk Helm inside. The Helldusk Helm do the following:

  • Attackers cannot land Critical Hits on you
  • Immolating Gaze - This is a Class Action that you can use when fighting

The Helldusk Boots are the only piece of this set that cannot be found in the House of Hope. If you head to Wyrm's Rock Fortress, you can find these boots on the top floor. They are in the northwestern corner of the top floor in a chest. They offer the following:

  • Hellcrawler - This is a Class Action that you can use when fighting

  • Steadfast - All difficult terrain effects in the game will be avoided and spells cannot move you at all
