Sashes are one of the armor pieces that Clive wears, offering a bonus to both defense and health. Sashes can be purchased or crafted at the blacksmith and further upgraded to boost the stats. One common crafting material for Sashes is Valley Madder; here's where players can find it.

Where To Find Valley Madder

Lostwing Shop Location On The Local Map

Valley Madder is a common crafting material that can be found randomly while exploring. Checking chests in the world and drops from stronger monsters have a chance of dropping some. Valley Madder is also a common reward for side quests, such as "Moving Heaven and Earth," which rewards players with 10 Valley Madder. Completing side quests is an efficient way to earn Valley Madder quickly.

Valley Madder can also be purchased at the shop in Lostwing. After completing the "Louder Than Words" quest, Lostwing will open up as a town to explore. Within the Hanged Man building to the right of the entrance, is a shop. This shop sells Valley Madder for 20 Gil a piece and sells an infinite amount.

How To Use Valley Madder

Clive Crafting A New Sash At The Blacksmith

Valley Madder is a common material used to craft and upgrade sashes at the Blacksmith in Cid's Hideout. For both crafting and upgrading, you'll need multiple Valley Madder, making it important to find and save as many as you can. For those in need of quick Gil, you can sell Valley Madder for 10 Gil a piece. While it can be sold, it's best to save as many as you can as late-game gear will require many more Valley Madder to craft and upgrade, so it's best to start saving them up early.
