Diablo 4 is one of the most memorable video game storylines of 2023. This game has a rich world brought to life by interesting and sympathetic characters. However, these characters wouldn't be nearly as close to our hearts without the help of their talented voice actors.

As a tribute to their hard work, here is a list of the voice actors for nine of Diablo 4's main characters, some of their previous work, and even which upcoming games you'll see their names on.

9 Donan

The voice of the Scosglen Hero Donan is none other than James Goode. This is not Goode's first time working on a big game - or even with Blizzard. He did voice acting for Cyber Punk 2077 and Diablo Immortal - but it is certainly one of his most memorable performances.

Donan's emotional journey, self-doubt, and final words about losing Yorin tugged at our heartstrings - After all, who can forget the heart-wrenching moments of a father losing his son? Truly, Donan is the type of father everyone wishes for and a prime candidate for father of the year.

8 Lorath

Perhaps the most memorable character in Diablo 4 is the focused, sophisticated hermit Lorath. As the player character's main companion, Lorath's gruff can-do attitude and a deep-seated desire to retire from adventure endear him to anyone who has done something they didn't want to, simply because no one else could.

Lorath was voiced by Ralph Ineson, who has a long history of voicing pensive mentors on television. However, it seems Ineson is moving more into the gaming world, as he will also be the voice of Final Fantasy XVI's Cidolfus Telemon. If this performance is any indication, he'll get a very warm welcome.

7 Neyrelle

Neyrelle is a much-needed injection of hope and youth into the main group in Diablo 4. Although naive at times, it's hard not to be enamored with her sincerity. Even when the old guard falters, she's there to keep pushing forward. Even Lorath is eventually won over by her bright-eyed determination, promising to make her Horadrim.

For this lovable character, we can thank Judy Alice Lee, the voice behind Mindt in Octopath Traveler 2, Specialist Seraph in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Yun Jin in Genshin Impact. You can also catch her in the upcoming game Hades 2, reprising her role as Melinoë.

6 Prava

Sometimes, it is shocking how much a character looks like their voice actor. Such is the case with Debra Wilson, the voice of Prava. The High Priestess of the Cathedral of Light has an elegant and regal appearance that is hard to find in real life, which almost makes up for her killing off Vigo, a character who had so much potential.

Hopefully, this is where the similarities end, however, as the world doesn't need more fanatics encouraging others to commit atrocities. Wilson has also voiced characters in Redfall (Miss Whisper) and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (Cere Junda).

5 Inarius

Diablo 4 grappled extensively with shades of grey and the Cathedral of the Light's shortcomings. Their winged leader Inarius is no exception, quickly falling short of the perfection often attributed to angels. The booming, otherworldly but vain Inarius was voiced by Gabe Kunda.

Kunda has a long history in voice acting but has only recently ventured into the gaming sphere. Games he's worked on that you might recognize include Valorant (Kay/O) and Apex Legends (Newcastle). While he's pretty new on the scene, we hope this isn't the last angelic performance he gives us.

4 Taissa

Voice Actress Cherise Boothe alongside her character Taissa from Diablo 4

We first meet Taissa as a victim of Elias' evil plans. She is intended to be the vessel for the lesser evil Andariel, Maiden of Anguish. Despite the player's best efforts, this summoning eventually comes to pass, although Taissa thankfully seems unharmed. This might be explained by her mysterious and otherworldly powers, which we later discover when we find out Taissa is a Witch of the Swamp.

This character is voiced by Cherise Boothe, whose other work included Sojourn in Overwatch 2 and Faniira in Horizon Forbidden West, and interestingly, narrating Business Nonfiction Audiobooks.

3 Lilith

Caroline Farber alongside Lilith from Diablo 4

No list of Diablo 4's voice actors would be complete without the seductive daughter of Hatred, and Mother of Sanctuary, Lilith. This is the character everyone loves to hate, although the emotion behind her voice acting drives players to wonder if she's truly so wrong.

The villainess of the game is voiced by Caroline Farber, a relative unknown in video game voice acting. Previous performances have mostly been in live-action TV shows such as Merlin (Hunith) and Midsomer Murders (Caroline Cave and Ruth Weston). Although her past appearances in video games have been slim, Farber sure had a lot to give this performance, and more voice acting should definitely be on her bucket list.

2 Mephisto

A picture of voice actor Steve Blum alongside Mephisto from Diablo 4

The Prime Evil of Hatred, Mephisto, often takes the shape of a wolf. During the course of the game, he assists the player character in their pursuit of Lilith due to what appears to be transparent self-preservation. Interestingly, Mehphisto's fear introduces the concept that a prime evil can be permanently destroyed in Diablo's lore, which would be a great topic to explore in future storylines.

Bringing this sarcastic, growly character to life is the voice of Steve Blum, a frequent voice actor in the Star Wars Franchise. Blums' previous video game voice acting includes Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Callisto Protocol. Blum knocked it out of the park in his latest performance, helping us remember what it is to hate again.

1 Elias

Elias, while simply Lilith's pawn, is arguably the villain we have the most contact with throughout Diablo 4. His fanaticism both fascinates and disgusts, and his apparent immortality frustrates beyond belief. Even once defeated, players continue to hear Elias speaking from The Tree of Whispers, mocking them for their efforts to save Sanctuary.

For this balance of fervor and cruelty, we can thank Anthony Howell, a well-known name in video game voice acting. Gamers will most likely recognize him for his roles as Margitt and Margott in Elden Ring as well as a memorable performance as Samuel in Alien Isolation.
