Although the Dungeons of Diablo 4 are randomly generated in their layout, the art style and objectives remain largely the same for all adventurers. When you delve into these chambers, enjoy the highlights listed in this article while experiencing your own unique instance of the Dungeon.

10 Buried Halls

Diablo 4 Buried Halls

Located in the Dry Steppes deep underneath Jakha Basin are the Buried Halls. The halls are illuminated by endless red candles, filled with ornate statues, and lined by caverns that dive well beneath your feet. Past rituals have left alters and offerings behind, and old sacrifices have been left to rot.

The entrance to the Buried Halls warns all adventurers of what to expect. Corpses are piled under a pyre and boil in a stew still hot on the fire. Upon entering this desecrated place, you’ll be a welcomed sight to the prisoners still awaiting their fate.

9 Shivta Ruins

Diablo 4 Shivta Ruins

Nestled in the Amber Sands of Kehjistan, the Shivta Ruins are the remnants of an oasis gone dry. What once was a sacred temple filled with hand-sculpted murals, finely crafted vases, and intricate detail on every surface, is now a barren wasteland.

In order to restore its justice, you’ll need to return the bloodstones to the pedestal and defeat the Seething Hivemaster. You’ll pass by knackered fountains and deteriorating idols in this abandoned palace. The forces of evil have long since taken residence in this once-shining beacon of Kehjistan.

8 Jalal’s Vigil

Diablo 4 Jalal’s Vigil

Past the Blood Vale and in the Precarious Thicket, Jalal’s Vigil awaits. This wooded mountainous terrain is home to Grizzly Bears, Thorn Beasts, and all manner of wild creatures. A land untouched by human intervention, Jalal’s Vigil sends you to the Wooded Peak to face off against the formidable boss - Bramble.

A unique aesthetic for the normally dark and dreary Diablo 4 Dungeons, Jalal’s Vigil offers a nice change of pace. Rather than fighting cultists and demons in an underground death chamber, this Dungeon offers a breath of fresh air.

7 Kor Valar Ramparts

Diablo 4 Kor Valar Rampart

Guarded by the knights of Kor Valar, this frozen keep is holding prisoners that need your help. Kor Valar Ramparts has heavy doors, blazing fires, and snow-covered surfaces. The stronghold aesthetic and powerful audio design make this Dungeon a pleasure to ransack.

Reminiscent of a medieval Viking setting, this fortress should be home to warriors strewn with animal pelts on their shoulders and long swords on their hips. On the edge of Fractured Peaks, Kor Valar Ramparts is a compelling garrison that will make you wish the entire region shared its art style.

6 Renegade’s Retreat

Diablo 4 Renegades Retreat

In the Caldeum Bazaar lies the secret hideout of a gang of burglars, the Renegade’s Retreat. Piles of gold and shining treasures fill the rooms and overflow into the halls. Spilling out of every nook and cranny in the hideout, Renegade’s Retreat is a treasure hunter's paradise.

Be aware of the guards, the protectors of loot, willing to die for their riches. To clear this Dungeon and claim your prize, you’ll need to slay the Keepers and confront the Outlaw Sharpshooter in the treasure room.

5 Luban’s Rest

Diablo 4 Luban’s Rest

Hidden among ruins in the Strand of Scosglen, entering Luban’s Rest places you within a skeletal graveyard. This dark and gloomy crypt has its floors laced with long-forgotten bodies. Only the darkest of evils remain in this place.

After entering through an iron gate, Luban’s Rest begins with a prisoner attempting to escape before quickly being struck down by a skeletal archer. Home to the blighted and cursed, this jail cell is a quintessential Diablo vault - dark and damned. The Light has forsaken this place long ago.

4 Serpent’s Lair

Diablo 4 Serpent's Lair

The ominous Serpent’s Lair is sunken below Brightmarsh in the region of Hawezar. After ducking through a narrow entrance from the opening chamber, you’ll find yourself walking through a hallway that was carved out by a serpent large enough to eat a human.

Snakes, cultists, and statues fill this plunging cavern, while narrow corridors, rickety bridges, and dripping water await your descent. The haunting music and close-quarters combat creates a tension that heightens this dungeon’s sense of danger. Upon clearing out the evil within, you’ll be eager to get out.

3 Halls Of The Damned

Diablo 4 Halls of the Damned

Across the sand dunes of Kehjistan rests the Halls of the Damned. This private sanctum is a powerful stronghold made from metal and rock, a perfect space for dark mages to hone their skills. Steaming blue liquid slowly churns in the metal basins that dimly light the path through.

Huge mechanical doors enclose small areas and create a sense of purpose for the lair. The only occupants of this sterile study are skeletal warriors and ghostly phantoms. Whoever built this place is either long gone or they’ve become the sanctum's undead protectors.

2 Dead Man’s Dredge

Diablo 4 Dead Mans Dredge

The dingy and damp Dead Man’s Dredge is a moldy cave of horrors. Dripping water and swampy floors enclose the tight corridors of this claustrophobic Dungeon. With spores growing on the walls and weeds hanging from the ceiling, this dungeon is overgrown with putrid decay.

As you trudge through the ghouls and grime and journey deeper into the tight caverns, you’ll need to collect anima and free anyone unlucky enough to be imprisoned there. By the time your character reaches the center of this tarnished maze, you’ll want to take a shower yourself.

1 Champion's Demise

Diablo 4 Champions Demise

This dark wooded area is the best opportunity to grind XP in Diablo 4. With branching paths that each lead to a Stone Carving, Champion's Demise is best played with 3+ people each splitting up to grab an objective. Once the objects have been returned to the Pedestal, you can face the rancid Khazra Abomination.

While this dungeon is aesthetically appealing and the Moon Clan are interesting foes, Champion's Demise is noteworthy for being the best Dungeon to rinse and repeat. When all you need is to level up, head over to the Untamed Scarps of the Dry Steppes and spend some time at the Champion's Demise.
