Diablo 4 is a massive game. Players are constantly finding new and exciting items, cosmetics, and powers that can allow players to play how they want. Whether you want to transmog your armor to look like your favorite piece or you want to change your Back Trophy, you have a lot of freedom in the game.

One thing that the game allows you to change is the Mount Armor that your Mount uses. This is just another cosmetic to allow you to customize your Mount to look exactly how you want it to. While there are around 38 Mount Armors overall, here's a list of the top ten.

Mount Armor is just a cosmetic. This list is based on opinion. While the Mount Armor makes your Mount look amazing, it does not add anything to the Mount. All it does is change the look of the Mount.

10 Bloody Warlord's Barding

Diablo 4 Bloody Warlord’s Barding

The Bloody Warlord's Barding is one of the many Mount Armors you can obtain while participating in PvP. While in PvP, you will obtain a special type of currency that can be transformed into Red Dust by purifying it. The Red Dust can then be traded at the Unconventional Mount Armor Vendor in these areas (known as the Fields of Hatred). For 85,000 Red Dust, you can purchase this Mount Armor.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "This barding has seen many battles and will surely see many more." What makes this Mount Armor so amazing is that it makes your Mount look like it belongs on a battlefield. Considering you have to participate in PvP, and it is one of the most expensive items you can purchase with Red Dust, the design of this Mount Armor is perfect. After gaining 85,000 Red Dust, you should be considered a Warlord.

9 Death's Burden (Bonemail)

Diablo 4 Death’s Burden

The Death's Burden Theme has a Mount Armor known as Bonemail. This is one of the many Mount Armors that are available for players to purchase in the game's in-game shop. This is the area of your menu where you can spend real-life money for the in-game currency Platinum. This theme costs 800 Platinum or $8 USD. However, since there is no way to just pay $8, you'll need to purchase either multiple lower amounts or a $10 amount.

While the Mount Armor itself doesn't have a description, the Death's Burden Theme does. The theme's description is "First crafted by Necromancers emerging from Torajan, elements of Death's Burden can now be seen in Kehjistan and beyond." What makes this Mount Armor so unique is that it does look perfect for Necromancers (and any other Class wanting to use this cool Mount Armor). The blue color mixed with the bones makes this look amazing.

8 Scosglen Barding

Diablo 4 Scosglen Barding

Scosglen Barding is one of the very many Mount Armors that can be obtained by random drops. Many of these items can appear off any regular enemy anywhere in the game. This specific Mount Armor can only be found in Scosglen. However, it can drop off any mob. You don't need to kill anything difficult or do anything special. Obtaining this Mount Armor comes down to pure luck on drops while killing. You also have a chance to get it from a chest in the area.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "Barding Suitable for the warrior riding in Scosglen." This Mount Armor is different than most. While most Mount Armor just changes the look of your horse, this Mount Armor makes it look like it is a completely different animal altogether. Your Mount will look like a deer or moose. This is the perfect Mount Armor to use in Scosglen, and it is also a great Mount Armor for Druids.

7 Kehjistani Barding

Diablo 4 Kehjistani Barding

The Kehjistani Barding is like the Scosglen Barding. While some Mount Armor comes from random drops or chests anywhere in the game, this one specifically comes from mobs or chests within the Kehjistan region. Thankfully, there is nothing special you need to do. You don't need to complete a certain quest (other than the quest to unlock Mounts). This item truly comes down to pure luck once again.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "A higher saddle and scalloped barding with scaled veil, ideal for a dusty, arid region." The blue color against the darker brown color truly makes this Mount Armor stand out. When you add in the yellow, it can truly turn heads. It is the perfect Mount Armor to use while you are traveling through Kehjistan. You'll be able to fit right in with the locals with this.

6 Dark Knight's Barding

Diablo 4 Dark Knight’s Barding

The Dark Knight's Barding is the second Mount Armor to come from the PvP area, the Fields of Hatred. Thankfully, this costs a lot less than the Bloody Warlord's Barding. While that one costs a whopping 85,000 Red Dust, this Mount Armor only costs 40,000. You can easily obtain Seeds of Hatred from the many different enemies, Open World Events, and bosses in the area. You don't even need to turn on PvP (though it would go fast if you do).

The Mount Armor's description reads, "Any steed wearing this barding will have an imposing and foreboding visage." The description of this is perfect for the item. When put on a horse, it can truly make you stand out. The brown and silver with purple is the perfect color combination. On top of that, if you have the Temptation Mount, you can even have red eyes shining through the eye holes in the bridle.

5 Hellborn Carapace

Diablo 4 Hellborn Carapace

The Hellborn Carapace is one of the coolest Mount Armors in the game. If you want this one, you'll need to spend some money. This specific Mount Armor is only available to those who ordered the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of the game. If you purchased those versions, you will be able to find this item as soon as you unlock Mounts. It should be waiting for you in the Mount Armor section of the menu at the Stable Master.

This specific Mount Armor does not have a description at all. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any actual armor that it adds to the Mount. However, just looking at it, you can easily see why it is one of the most popular Mount Armors in the game. While it may not seem like much at first, adding the horn to the Mount's head truly adds a lot to the cosmetic. It makes your Mount look like it walked out of hell itself.

4 Ashava Barding

Diablo 4 Ashava Barding

The Ashava Barding is another amazing Mount Armor you can find in the game. Unfortunately, this may be one of the more difficult ones to obtain. However, it is certainly worth it and understandably difficult. The only way to obtain this is to beat the world boss, Ashava. While world bosses won't show up on your map until you have completed the campaign, you can always just go to their spawn location as they are spawning and participating.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "There can be no mistaking where or how this was won." The description refers to the fact that everyone will know you have conquered a world boss once you equip this Mount Armor. What makes this stand out is that the Mount is covered in metal. If you wanted armor for an actual horse, this is what you would want. It looks like a horse that is ready for a war.

3 Elder Druid Barding

Diablo 4 Elder Druid Barding

The Elder Druid Barding is one of the best Mount Armors in the game. You can obtain this by choosing a cache at the Tree of Whispers. Unfortunately, you can only participate in the Bounties and Grim Favors required for this item after completing the main campaign. However, this is certainly worth the effort. This Mount Armor is one of the best in the game and isn't the only cool thing that can be found at the Tree of Whispers.

The Mount Armor description reads, "Barding styled for, and suitable for, a luminary of any druidic order." What makes this look so amazing is everything about it. The golden part on the horse's face is shaped like an eagle. There are little symbols and items hanging from the horse's saddle. To make things even better, once again, the color choices are great. The purple looks amazing with the gold accents.

2 Barding Of Elemental Fury

Diablo 4 Barding of Elemental Fury

This is the Barding of Elemental Fury, and its looks make it one of the best in the game. Unfortunately, this Mount Armor is almost as mysterious as it looks. As of now, the exact drop location of this hasn't been narrowed down.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "Imposing black barding, charged with elemental might." What makes this Mount Armor look so great is its black and blue coloring. It also looks like a dragon's head around the horse's head. It is one-of-a-kind. You'll want to get your hands on this as soon as possible.

1 Treasure Beast Barding

Diablo 4 Treasure Beast Barding

The Treasure Beast Barding is another one of the more difficult Mount Armors to obtain. It is another world boss drop. This time, it comes from the world boss Avarice. This isn't a guaranteed drop, but it is certainly worth checking out the world boss anytime it appears. Remember, you don't have to beat the campaign to obtain this. You just need to go to wherever it is going to spawn before it does.

The Mount Armor's description reads, "There can be no mistaking where or how this was won." This is the exact same description as the Ashava Barding. Everyone will know you defeating one of the hardest bosses in the game to obtain this. This armor not only adds horns to Mount (similar to Avarice's), but it also adds weapons to it. You can see weapons sticking out of the horse around its tail. They are also on its neck. This is an amazing Mount Armor that is going to stand out anywhere.
