You're really only squeezing the value out of a game like Diablo 4 when you replay the game with different characters, as this way, you experience more of the gameplay variety that's in store between its different classes. Heck, even just one class can have a lot of variety with its various builds, so, diving into alts is a great way to keep the gameplay fresh, especially if you're the type of player who quickly blasted through the main campaign.

However, what's the point of having higher-level characters if you're not going to give your alts some advantage? Sharing equipment between your characters is a very convenient feature, but how it's done isn't exactly spelled out to players.

Sharing Gear

In the simplest terms, gear and items are shared by using the Stash. Accessible in the central city of Kyovashad from the moment you can complete the game's prologue, the Stash allows players to safeguard items. It's a pretty standard feature that's quite commonplace in RPGs. It's a great way to let players save items for later, without having them take up space in their regular inventory.

In Diablo 4, the Stash is actually shared between characters, so all you need to do is place an item in the Stash with one character, and if you log into the other, you'll see the item there as well.

Where Is The Stash?

The Stash can be located in the game's main hub city, Kyovashad, which is great, as it doesn't take too much time to reach that city after creating a new character. It's specifically on the second floor of a house in the top left of the city square, though you'll have an easier time simply checking out the image above.

At first, you have a total of 50 storage slots for all your characters. You can get another 50 slots, however, for the not-so-cheap price of 100,000 gold. Though it's only fair for it to be fairly expensive, as it's something that's usable between all your characters.
