Nothing quite like a World Boss to bring a community together. In Diablo 4, there are plenty of things to keep you entertained outside the main campaign, and World Bosses are one of the best.

But before you go out aimlessly searching for a World Boss to beat up, you’ll need to know where and when to look for them. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know in order to find each of the World Bosses, so you can claim the bounties they hold.

What Are World Bosses?

World Bosses are an advanced boss enemy that spawns in the game world after completing most of the main campaign. Similar to Legion Events, these World Boss events spawn every so often and encourage any and all players to join in the event.

Currently, there are only three World Bosses you can face, with more likely being released alongside larger updates, new Seasons, and DLC. Each of the following World Bosses operates differently from one another and can require a different number of players to complete. Here are all the current World Bosses and how to beat them:

• Ashava the Pestilent
• Avarice, the Gold Cursed
• Wandering Death, Death Given Life

World Boss Timer

After reading this, you might want to go find a World Boss to take on immediately. While you may get lucky, chances are you will have to wait a while for them to spawn. Currently, World Bosses are spawning roughly every 6 hours, providing an opportunity for players in all time zones to take one on at some point each day. This timing could get updated eventually in the future, but this is the pattern we are observing currently.

Whenever a World Boss is spawning, you will get a notification pop-up alerting you the event will start in 15 minutes. When you see that, it is best to quickly wrap up what you are doing and head over to the event area and wait for the battle to start. Here are the windows in which World Bosses will spawn each day.

World Boss Locations

Although the frequency of World Boss spawns isn't precise, thankfully where they spawn is. There are five regions on the world map, and each has a specific location where a World Boss can spawn. In addition, each World Boss can spawn at any of the five locations. You can view each of the locations in the maps image above, and we have included the names of them for you below as well.
