Blizzard has been hard at work creating some amazing promotions for Diablo 4. These promotions allow players to obtain cosmetics, in-game items, and rewards through some pretty easy tasks. Blizzard has even partnered with KFC to earn even more in-game rewards.
One such promotion is a partnership with Twitch. All players need to do is head over to Twitch starting June 5th and watch any channel in the Diablo 4 category that has drops enabled. Then you will head to your inventory to claim them.
Updated by Erin Rice on June 12, 2023: After the Twitch Drops were enabled, more information was found out about them. This update added information on how to obtain the Primal Instincts Mount after gifting Twitch Subscriptions. It also added some links to help readers prepare for their Class's Twitch Drops.
How To Participate
Blizzard released a statement on their website detailing the process of obtaining these Twitch Drops. Starting June 5th at 4:00 PDT, the official launch of Diablo 4 will be underway. To celebrate, Blizzard is encouraging players to watch streamers in the Diablo 4 category. As long as who you're watching has drops enabled, you will be able to obtain these items. However, they aren't that easy to obtain. You'll need to watch for several hours before being able to claim any of the rewards. Each week will have 2 different drops. For the first drop, you'll only need to watch 3 hours. However, if you want the second drop, you'll have to watch 6 hours.
You must claim each reward when you reach the time for it. Otherwise, time won't count toward your next reward.
Twitch Drops
The Twitch Drops will be happening for 4 weeks following the launch of the game. Each week, you will be able to obtain 2 Twitch Drops. These will contain only cosmetic items, meaning they only have value as transmogs. Each week will focus on a different Class within the game (except the first week, there are two Classes). Here are the Twitch drops and the time required for them.
Week 1: June 5th - June 11th
The first week focuses on the Rouge and Necromancer Classes. For watching 3 hours during this week, you will obtain the Azurehand Back-Stabber Dagger and Azurehand Heart-Piercer Sword Weapon Recolors. If you watch for 6 hours, you can get the Matron-Sigil Coffer for Rouges and Progenitor Favor Back Trophy for Necromancers.
Week 2: June 12th - 18
This week is for the Sorcerer Class. For watching 3 hours during this week, you will get the Azurehand Spell-Slinger Wand Weapon Recolor. Watching an additional 3 hours will give you the Hellrune Tabernacle Back Trophy.
Week 3: June 19th - June 25th
The third week is all about the Druid Class. For watching 3 hours, you will get the Azurehand Head-Cleaver Weapon Recolor. If you watch for 6 hours, you can get the Font of the Mother Back Trophy.
Week 4: June 26th - July 2nd (Final Week)
The final week is focused on the Barbarian Class. If you watch 3 hours during this week, you will get the Azurehand Skull-Crusher. Watching 3 more hours will get you the Matriarch’s Mantle Back Trophy.
Your time can be spent watching multiple channels rather than just one. However, you must claim your first reward before the time for the second one will begin. You can claim them in the Drops Inventory menu on Twitch.
Additional Reward
In addition to the Twitch Drops, you are able to obtain the Primal Instinct Mount during this event. The way to obtain this is much different from the Twitch Drops. For this, you need to support Diablo 4 content creators by gifting 2 Twitch Subscriptions. These can be of any tier. Blizzard has released a list of channels you can support here.
Once you have gifted 2 Twitch Subscriptions, check your notifications. Twitch will send you a code to redeem on Blizzard's website in order to obtain the mount. You MUST redeem the code on the website in order to obtain this mount. You cannot do it through Twitch alone.
