Quick Links
Mounts allow you to quickly traverse Diablo 4’s sizeable open world while also making you look even more stylish than usual. Similar to weapons and armor, mounts serve as a status symbol and can be adorned with various trophies in order to make them stand out from the crowd. While acquiring your first mount is pretty straightforward, obtaining trophies for it is a tad more complicated.
Mount trophies can be acquired from a variety of sources, including Challenges, PvP, and random drops. In addition, you can simply buy certain mount trophies from the shop as part of bundles that also contain horse armor. Mount trophies are entirely cosmetic, but they’re still worth collecting regardless because, let’s face it, we all want our characters to look awesome.
Mount Trophies From Drops
In Diablo 4 you acquire most of your gear from drops, and the same goes for mount trophies as well. Some of these trophies drop from specific bosses or types of monsters while others can drop randomly while completing quests and clearing dungeons. In many cases, players are still busy trying to figure out how exactly to get the trophies to drop.

Mount Trophies From Challenges
Challenges are essentially Diablo 4’s version of achievements. Once you complete a specific objective or set of objectives, you’ll get a little pat on the back alongside some rewards. These rewards usually come in the form of titles, but some challenges also reward mount trophies. Unsurprisingly, these challenges tend to be more difficult to complete.

Mount Trophies From PvP Vendor
While certainly challenges that reward trophies involve killing other players, there’s an entirely different set of mount trophies that can be purchased from Fariba, the PvP vendor in Alzuuda. Coincidentally, the same vendor also sells mounts and horse armor. The mount trophies sold by Fariba cost quite a bit of Red Dust, a special currency that can only be acquired by mastering the art of PvP.

Mount Trophies From The In-Game Shop
If you’ve got cash to spare, you can simply buy mount trophies from the in-game shop. These mount trophies come bundled with horse armor and are quite expensive as a result. Unless you have a fair bit of disposable income on your hands, we wouldn’t recommend buying these since you can already obtain plenty of mount trophies just by playing the game. Of course, it’s ultimately up to you to decide whether these trophies are worth buying or not.

Mount Trophies From Special Promotions
For now, this category only includes two mount trophies, one of which is no longer obtainable. Judging by how much time and money Blizzard poured into Diablo 4’s marketing campaign, it’s likely we’ll see more promotional mounts at some point down the road.

Other Mount Trophies
Some mount trophies are so rare that they’re only talked about in hush whispers behind dark taverns after the stroke of midnight. These mounts have been datamined, but at the moment there’s no way of knowing for certain where they drop. Most, if not all of these mount trophies can probably be obtained from random drops, but we’re going to place them in their own special category until we find out more about them.
