The Traveler's Prayer quest in Diablo 4 is one of deceitful simplicity. Activated by reading a letter in a tavern inside the town of Yelesna in Fractured Peaks, the quest has you set out to find a shrine nearby and give your thanks next to it.

A straightforward enough request at first glance, but if you were understandably mashing through the initial tutorials, itching to be freed into the open world and progress your character quickly, you may be lost as to what to do once you find the shrine. After all, the indication simply reads, "Give thanks."

Where To Find The Shrine

Though the highlighted area on the map isn't too big, you may be lost as to what exactly is the shrine you're meant to pray to, given that it honestly looks more like a notice board than a shrine. Regardless, the image above will show you the exact spot on the map, while the featured image shows the player character standing right next to the shrine in question.

However, if you moved to a different zone and aren't even sure what section of the map that is, this other image should help out with that. It's in the bottom right of Kyovashad, the main city hub in Fractured Peak, and it's directly north of Yelesna, the town where you accept the quest. It's located in the Gale Valley area, which itself is part of the larger Fractured Peaks zone, the game's starting zone located on the eastern side of the overall world map.

How To Give Thanks

Diablo 4 Traveler Emote

The quest doesn't directly specify, but when it states "give thanks," it means that it wants you to perform the 'Thanks' emote. Don't be upset if you were running circles around the shrine figuring out how to activate it; it happens to the best of us.

To pull up the emote wheel, press Up on the d-pad of your controller — or press 'E' if you're playing on PC. Scroll one page to the left, and you should be able to see the 'Thanks' emote on the top right. As soon as you activate it, the quest will be completed, and you'll be handed your rewards.
