Fury Against Fate is the third of an optional Diablo 4 questline starring Ealda, the leader of the Crane tribe, which had recently suffered a lot of casualties at the hands of the cannibals in the area.

There's nothing particularly complex about the quest, so if you're here, chances are you've been afflicted by the annoying progression bug that's been preventing many a player from completing it. Either way, here's everything there is to know about Fury Against Fate and how to complete it.

Where To Complete Fury Against Fate

Diablo 4 Fury Against Fate Location

Fury Against Fate is completed in the Wasting Hollow dungeon. As seen above, it is north-east of the town of Jirandai, and it can only be accessed once the quest has been accepted. The dungeon's layout is as simple as it gets. Climb down a wall, and you'll immediately encounter Ealda, the Crane Tribe Cheiftan. After interacting with her, she'll give a little motivational speech, then (if your game isn't bugged) she'll charge forward into battle.

The fight is a bit more difficult than your standard Diablo 4 encounter, as you'll have to take down multiple large groups of enemies that keep spawning. Finally, a mini-boss called Korvok the Carver will appear, and once you defeat him, speak to Ealda once more and the quest will be complete.

Progression Bug Fix

Diablo 4 Fury Against Fate Fix

If you're one of the unlucky ones whose quest is bugged, then when you first speak to Ealda near the entrance of the Wasting Hollow, she'll simply stand there and do nothing, and if you go to the other room in the dungeon, and kill that small first group of enemies, nothing will happen; no other enemies will spawn, the quest will not progress.

There's unfortunately no universal fix to this issue as of yet. Some players report that no matter what they do, the quest still doesn't progress. It's possible that some will simply have to wait for Blizzard to fix the issue in a patch, however, here are the fixes that have managed to help a good amount of players.

  • Complete the surrounding event. The root cause does seem to be that the dungeon is right outside an area that frequently has an active event, as seen above. Completing this event before starting the quest has fixed the issue for many players. If you've already started the quest, close and reopen the game, complete the event, then start the quest.
  • Change to World Tier 1. Lowering the difficulty to the easiest mode has reportedly fixed the issue for some.
  • Close and reopen the game. Sometimes, the simplest solution can be the most effective. A power cycle can give the quest interaction a hard reset and get it to function.
