A significant part of the gameplay loop in Diablo 4 revolves around exploration. After all, this is a role-playing game, just one with a metric ton of action and loot involved. But, when players need a break from the constant turmoil of Sanctuary, wandering the Fractured Peaks in search of unique landmarks, especially the Altars of Lilith, may prove beneficial.
These mysterious statues are scattered about the game world, sometimes hidden in a copse of trees, and they offer unique bonuses whenever players find one. This guide goes over where to find the Altars of Lilith in Diablo 4 and the various boons each statue offers during the player's journey.
Updated by Brandon Morgan on July 3, 2023: This guide was updated to include a corrected map location, as well as offer a more detailed table that includes the bonuses associated with each Altar of Lilith location.
What Are The Altars Of Lilith?
As previously mentioned, the numerous Altars of Lilith are scattered about the world of Sanctuary. These stone statues of the antagonist Lilith are generally somewhat-hidden, well off the main roads in the game. Fractured Peaks has 28 Altars of Lilith, each offering a one-time boon to the player's character. These benefits, all pre-determined and chosen from a list, include:
- +2 Strength
- +2 Dexterity
- +2 Intelligence
- +2 Willpower
- +5 Maximum Obol Capacity
Along with the above benefits, every Altar of Lilith the player discovers will also boost experience and Renown in the region.
Altars Of Lilith & Renown
For every Altar of Lilith the player discovers, they'll receive a +10 Renown bonus to that corresponding region. For example, if an adventurer finds an Altar in Fractured Peaks, their renown increases in Fractured Peaks.
That said, players do not need to locate and activate every Altar of Lilith in a zone to complete that area's Renown. Still, with the permanent stat bonuses and Obol capacity increase, it's wise to track down each Altar early on for a quick power boost.
Fractured Peaks: Altars Of Lilith Locations
Locating each Altar of Lilith in a given zone may prove difficult for those without a keen eye. Every Altar is off the beaten path, and players aren't likely to stumble upon one by following a main route from quest to quest. Instead, it's essential to wander the woods, peek behind rocks, and look where no one else might. Or, you could easily use the map provided and track down each one.
Furthermore, each Altar is located outside any zone of interest in the game. There will never be one located directly outside the entrance to a Dungeon, for instance, or by a world event.
