Updated by Abigail Angell on July 12th, 2023: Diablo 4 players are increasingly interested in which Paragon Glyphs will serve their characters best as people try out new classes and farm Renown before Season 1. To assist Barbarian players in crafting their ideal build, the tier list of the five best Barbarian Paragon Glyphs near the end of the article has been expanded.

How To Get Paragon Glyphs

Seven Paragon Glyphs from Diablo 4 side by side

Glyphs are primarily dropped by Boss and Elite enemies (rarely, they are found in chests or for sale at a shop). The bigger the boss, the bigger the drop chance for a glyph. This means fighting World Bosses or completing Nightmare Dungeons are the best strategies for collecting Paragon Glyphs.

The Best Paragon Glyphs For Barbarians

Diablo 4 Paragon

While many of the Barbarian's glyphs are situationally good, five are standouts in almost any build. Marshal, Imbiber, Territorial, and Undaunted can help you stay in the fight, while Exploit makes your attacks even more devastating.

Marshal

Shout skills are key to the Barbarian's class identity and play style. Very few late-game builds pass up on having multiple shouts in their kit. Therefore, one of the best glyphs around is one that reduces the cooldown on shout skills. Additionally, Marshal increases the power of nearby Magic Nodes, meaning that it will be useful in just about any location.

Exploit

Exploit is a glyph that often makes it onto tier lists for a variety of classes. This is no surprise, as the heavy armor and high health of enemies in the late game make the Vulnerable status condition increasingly important. Exploit allows you to deal even more damage to Vulnerable enemies, and wipe the floor with the competition.

Imbiber

The barbarian's inability to use a shield can make them surprisingly squishy at times, especially when they first get rolling at the beginning of a fight. You'll therefore probably be making good use of your healing potions throughout your playthrough. To make these potions even more effective, and to reward you for staying healthy, you can use the Imbiber glyph.

Territorial

As a melee fighter, you'll be spending lots of time up close and personal with your enemies. As a result, Territorial is a great choice for any Barbarian build. It will help your survivability in the late game as well as boost your damage against close enemies. For the greatest effect, ensure you've got plenty of Dexterity Nodes near where you socket this glyph.

Undaunted

Due to the Barbarian's lack of shield and melee nature, they rely heavily on Fortify to stay in the fight. To make your Fortify even more potent, use the Undaunted Glyph in a socket near Willpower Nodes. This will boost your damage while Fortified, and cause you to take even less damage in that state.
